That set was really hard

lol I'm terrible at repping out, it's true.
I'm also terrible at singles, in the squat and bench. Good at singles pulling.
I think for the squat and bench, I'm best from 3-5.

OK, I'll give you that.

I was planning on lifting today, but I woke up with a muscular pain on the outer side of my left ass/hip. So I ran instead to get some bloodflow:

4 min jog
20 sec work/10 sec walkx8
4 min jog
20 min walk.

I haven't ran in forever, so this kicked my ass.

I've noticed now that I switched to the low bar position that my right wrist takes alot more pressure, and hurts under any decent weight - hence the wrist straps.

Simon, it hurts my upper back where I put the bar.

Today:
pre-workout meal:
waffle
fruit
2 slices pizza
Intensity Day
some pullups while waiting for the power rack

Squat
5x5x265+10

Bench Press
3x5x190+5
1x2x190
1x4x185

Deadlift
1x4.5x345+5

Comments:
-this was tough. The pizza didn't exactly help.
-squats were pretty tough. Had to rest to get the last rep on a few, and the last rep was a grinder.
-deads were better than I thought. Legs were dead though.
-switching around diet. Eat a shitload 5 days a week, then take it easy on weekends when I don't lift. This should add some lean size.

More comments:
-wow, my legs kill. Still feeling those squats.
-I got a letter today telling me that I am a National Merit Finalist. All this means is that I have a shot at a one-time $2,500 scholarship for college. Although that doesn't help much when school is $50K a year, it'd still be nice if I was chosen.
-too busy to lift tomorrow.

Man, you pay alot for college.

I pay something like $7200 per year for 3 years, but I have to pay that myself at the end of the degree(government loan), once I earn a salary of 39k per year or more. So I'll come out of uni with a $22,000 debt, but its a government loan to help students, so its okay.

Yeah, it's alot. I could actually go to a state school for free, but the education where I'm going is going to be better. I'm looking it more as an investement--Cornell is going to help me get into better grad schools, jobs, ect.

Also, my parents pretty much told me to get into the best places possible and let them worry about the $. They're actually pretty cool about this; education is the one thing that's pushed in my house over most other things. Which makes sense, because when my dad came to this country at age 5 with virtually no money, the only way he and his siblings could get into a better situation was by studying their asses off and getting into good schools/good jobs. That's the reason why, I think, that they are much more into hard work/studying as opposed to my friends parents, who mostly grew up well-to-do.

I don't think there's a single school in canada that charges 50k a year. That's ridiculous.

I pay something like 4,000 a year. Sucker

50 a year is everything. Room, board, tuition, books, the cost of transportation factored in.

And, there are plenty of schools more expensive then Cornell.

a dorm at my school is 700/month.
plus food
plus transportation (unless if you're including the cost of a new car)
plus books
plus tuition
plus a WHOLE NEW WARDROBE

still wouldn't equal half of what you're paying

yet another reason Canada, kicks ass.

Reasons why canada doesn't kick ass:
-you guys say 'aboot'
-curling
-ey
-It's cold in canada.
-CFL=wannabe NFL
-I can't pronounce the city that you live in.
-America is your daddy.
-Quebec, a good portion of your country, DOESN'T WANT TO BE PART of your country.
-I don't live there.

50k per year. holy shit! goto school for 5 years and even if 25% of your income is taken of a say 100,000 salary its going to take 10 years to break even.. wow i had no idea.

I think my tuition is about 5k per year (10 full courses). Rent is 300ish/month for most, trasportation is free public with tuition if wanted but everyone walks.

Economy is good here so that effects things too. I work 20 hours per week approx and easily pay for my place, food ($$$$$$), new computers and such, my car/insurance/registration etc, entertainment, new clothes etc. still, i have enough at the end of the month to put into savings.

when i lived on campus.. there was a mandatory food plan that i think was about $1200 and rent was $700-800 for the year.

have fun living on campus and actually do some school work once in a while. I forget half of my first year.. booze, girls and dope.. not a good combo some of the time, remember that..

Managed to squeeze in an ARM DAY at the gym. PWO shake:
ice cream
banana
milk
protein powder

It takes a good amount of cals for me to grow, so I'm eating a good amount.

Legs are sore as fuck.

I heard "aboot" or "a-boat" about 10 times in my 2 days in Vancouver.

Curling is far lamer. At least whatever W. does is interesting.

It's 75 degrees here. All of canada is cold. Parts of the USA is. Woudl you rather be in a country where you freeze to death wherever you are, or one where you can move to a place with good weather?

Ive never heard aboot either

I think its a newfie term.. mind you when i talk to americans i say it all the time because its funny

CFL football is a great game. Yes i realize your college players are almost certainly better then our 'pros' but I just perfer the more fast paced game myself. Some americans must too because you have had cfl teams before.

Both countries are in the top 5 to live in for me.

I call it a shopping cart.

Frank, I don't know what I was expecting, but that wasn't it. Interesting choices.

Australia is good:

-We also don't say aboot
-We don't carry guns, anywhere
-We actually lock our doors, unlike Canadians
-We tell Americans we ride our Kangaroos to work, and they believe us
-It NEVER gets very cold here
-We know where South Korea is on a map, unlike many Americans

I'm just curious, why those 5 countries?

A guy I worked with about 3 summers back actually told me that the wanted to move to canada. Said how the UN or some organization said it had the best quality of life, or something like that.

In non-ghey news, I'm uploading some squat vids now.

i would move to canada if there was a good job there. Good medical care, plus, canada doesn't get involved in other country's business like the US does.
