Two days left this week, then a deload week. Then the fun begins.

You got that right.

First I have to get through another deadlift day.
Saturday won't be too bad, no 20 rep squats this week.

Week 3 Day 3 - deadlift - May 8

deadlift - from floor, belted
335x8
365x5
375x4x2
385x3

paused RDL
285x5
275x5x2

bentover db row
75ea x8x3

seated row
190x8x3

back extension
50x8x3

Feel good about the pulls. The 375 was hard for four, but I felt like I could have gotten 385 for four or even five if I really stretched it. I felt like I was about to puke though (from the belt I think) so I stopped at three.

How do you find the belt when deadlifting? I feel it digs in at the bottom, like there isn't enough space between my ribs and my hips there hah. Once it gets a a bit higher its all good though and the belt gives heaps of support in keeping the back arched and tight.

Thanks alco.

Hahahah, I don't get anything that very visible from the belt. I get pretty decent bite marks on my hips from the suit which is pretty tight. Also got bite marks from a loose bench shirt(back of arm down the seam, and on chest), using a slightly tighter one today. I will see how this one scars me hah!

Man I bet after a meet, you'd look pretty fucked up!

Apparently some lifters wrap their knees until their legs bleed.
That's the rule. Wrap them until they bleed.

Week 3 Day 4 - bench2 - May 10

paused bench
190x5,4,4

OH press
120x8,6,6

1bb curl
95x8x3

2elbow out extension
35x4
30x10x2

hip raise
side bridge
front bridge
hanging leg raise

I find that I do better with the elbow out extensions if I'm half off the bench. Kind of like a half-off bench press. Same idea. I usually have pain in either my shoulder or my bicep, but with the shoulder blade off the bench I was very comfortable through each rep. So... now I know.

Next week is a deload week. It's going to be great.

I'm waiting for the greatness hah!

Your log has been lacking it lately with all the random volume stuff. Time for the heavy weights!

What's the next "phase" or your program? I'm to lazy to go back and read that again, but I probably will soon hah.

Next phase is some lockout work (so >1RM) and some full range stuff, a lot of 5s and triples.
The next phase is going to be good for strength gains I think.

Deload week
Week 4 Day 1 - squat - May 12

squat - low bar, no belt
225x5x3

bridge
side bends

I also did a bit of mobility work, and some extra stretching.

Trevor and I think that if I can fix my mobility (my pelvis tucks under as soon as I break parallel in the squat) my squat numbers will be a lot better than they are now.
So I'm going to take advantage of this low volume week by really focusing on mobility.

I don't think the tucking is that bad, I think it's something that's normal and noticeable on every squatter, but it's harder to see on wide stance squatters.

There's just no way not to tuck the pelvis once you get to a certain depth, although maybe you are starting to tuck too high in the squat and maybe that can be improved. But nobody could squat atg while maintaining a strong arch at the bottom.

During the squat you should try and maintain the arch, but its going to tuck a bit anyway at the bottom, so I wouldn't worry. But maybe if Trevor mentioned it you are tucking too much, and too early and it could be a mobility issue.
