By suit slippers, you mean the "slip on"?

Yep, those ones I have them. I don't think I would be able to get my suit on without them, even now that its broken in.

Good, then I'm not getting the slip ons.
20 extra bucks.

I'm just now finding out that our dollar is so much lower than the US dollar again. What the fuck? Shouldn't their dollar be worth less in a recession?

Haha yeah, our dollar got screwed aswell...

I'd still say get the suit slippers, it will make life MUCH easier for you, and could be the difference between getting the suit on or not. Your probably won't be as tight as mine, but still, saves alot of time and effort, ands its not that much...

It's a lot when you figure brokerage fees as well.
They really get you. I once paid 50 in brokerage fees alone, and the order couldn't have been more than 100-150.

I'm just looking around now for the best way to ship it to avoid these fees. I think usps priority would be the best option, but I can't be sure, so it's a gamble.

ups = always a fee
fedex = rarely a fee
usps= only gotten a fee once (and ive ordered hundreds of things online form the usa)

the dollar is a little weak right now, but thats a big reason why our ecconomy isn't doing all that bad right now (in comparison..).

I dont know about the size.. ive never used a titan suit.

Also - if you do need suit slippers for the first time, you can use garbage bags.. or just alot of baby powder will usually work.

It is a Canada thing.

What I'm seeing from forum discussions (it's amazing what you can find threads on if you search google) I'm seeing that if I get it shipped USPS there will be no brokerage fees and it will be shipped through Canada Post right to my door.
Sweet.

Our economy isn't too bad because our dollar is weak in comparison?
What do you mean by that?

Ok. Just ordered it. With shipping it came to 171.40 US, or 201 Canadian. Luckily, my parents/sister offered to foot the bill for my birthday present.

I'll have a couple strong guys who can help me get the suit on, so I shouldn't have any problems. I'll make sure to bring garbage bags anyway, thanks for the idea.
$20 US is just not worth it at the moment.

A 42 red NXG super+
Awesome.

Only if he is a pussy...

I never got that, I loved it right from the beginning! I squatted 25kgs over my raw first time in a suit and it came up like it was 65kg. You can't NOT enjoy that lol!

The pain isn't that bad, I hardly notice it. Just deal with it.

You just get red marks on your upper thighs, sometimes its a ring around the whole leg, and you get some marks on your hips, sometimes you can get marks from the straps on your shoulders too.

Ignore all the shit people say, its a slight discomfort, hardly painful. But it sure makes you look fucked up!

Meh. Winter is starting, no one will see marks on my legs/shoulders.

I'm really excited about this. I plan to start using the suit on Wed Dec 3 after testing my raw squat on Fri Nov 28.
The date of the January contest still isn't posted (which really pisses me off, we're only two months out, they should have it planned by now) but if I start in the first week of December that should give me at least 4-6 weeks I'd say in the suit. Not too bad.
I still haven't decided if I should ask for a bench shirt for Christmas and spend the next two or so weeks learning it for the contest, or if I should just bench raw. I'll probably bench raw this time, and in a shirt for my third contest.

I wouldn't train in a shirt without some experienced PL'ers.

Do you have knee wraps?

Trevor used to compete in powerlifting, he's teaching the club the power clean/snatch so he's usually there. Plus if I ask him for help with my gear I'm sure he'll make arrangements to be there to help me out. He's a good guy.

No knee wraps. I'll have to order those separate I guess.

bench RE - Nov 7

hanging leg raise
hip raise
reverse side bends (high pulley, push down on handle)

db press, neutral grip (so was last week, may have forgotten to write that)
85x5x4

clapping pushups
a bunch

floor press - ring finger on rings
90kgx2x4

alt db curl
50x8x2
reverse db curl
30x12

random grip work

It's funny how my board press is more than my full bench, but my floor press is much lower. It's still a shorter range of motion, so what's the deal?

Sat around in the weightroom after training with Brent, Trevor and a couple other guys just talking shop. I left an hour later than I had planned to (and didn't get my usual nap/shower before work) but it was totally worth it.

Thanks dmw. It's getting there, anyway.

Frankie, I got stale fast on that plan. I hit that PR and then the week after my lifts all dropped off. Since then I've actually just been doing whatever I felt like, I need to write something out that I'll stick to.

1 bad week = new plan? makes no sense. stick with it for 3-6 months and then evaluate i think would be more effective.

I also had a flare up of elbow pain..

Ok, ok. I'll go back to the plan. How does this look

Monday, bench ME
paused bench, 1-3 reps/set
2-board, 3 reps/set
lockouts, 3 reps/set

Friday, bench RE
db bench 5-8 reps/set
floor press, 3 reps/set
db overhead
db extension

Fix your elbow problems, they can be fixed. what do you do for them now?

program looks ok..

but i would just do full bench for RE at least, more carryover then DBs. Then do more boards instead of floor presses. Also I wouldn't pause any reps in training unless a contest is close.. but thats up for debate, never pause a board press of course - do those thing violently, ie slam the bar against the board and throw it back hard.
