375 and 225 will probably be my third attempts, but 385 will be my second because if the next couple weeks go well, I'm sure I'll get it. If I straight-leg the pull, I can pull 400 without much of a problem.

remember.. its in kilos most of the time

plus you will be using a deadlift bar. i think you would make 401lbs on your third dead in the contest.

Right, sorry.

170/102/175 kg
374/224/385 lbs

How is a deadlift bar different from a regular bar?

not as stiff - the thing bends quite a bit. usually adds anywhere from 10-50lbs to your pull.

plus - its smaller in diameter so its easy to grip. dont worry about it much, it will only help.

good. even if you don't beat him this meet, you'll shatter it next meet.

So I was doing 1-board presses today, and on the final rep of the day, I hear and feel a crunching from my left shoulder. It doesn't hurt much, maybe a tiny bit with certain movements, but it does feel kind of weird now.

Hopefully it'll heal quickly.

No deadlift bars in IPF sanctioned meets, same bar for all three lifts.

You have to pick weights to the nearest 2.5kgs usually, unless it's a record of some sorts.

You are doing an IPF meet right?

How the hell do you guys have all this information on different federations? Do you read through the rulebooks of each one, take notes, and compare them?

Jeez.

In other news. My shoulder is really hurting now. Going to ice it. Hopefully it gets better.

Forgot about that ipf rule, but the bar they do use gives more lbs then a standard oly bar, a few bars are ipf legal and i forget the model # but my gym has the ivanko one and it probably adds 20lbs to my dead compared to maybe 30lbs with the texas bar. It all depends on your deadlift style and such.

we all know im not a big ipf fan so i wont get into it. the new gpc/uspf looks promising i think.

take some time off, use blue heat, load up on fish oil, take anti inflammatory when it hurts to much to bare, do foam rolling etc.

all powerlifters shoulders and elbows are screwed up. I have pretty bad tendinitis im my elbows but by using a few things i can make it so i dont cry during a bench press.

I just got something called Rub A535. I think it works the same as Blue Heat.
Put it on a minute ago, already there's less pain. It's not gone completely, but it's much more bearable.

Talk about fast acting.

A guy I train with is using those elbow sleeves now, probably the same ones you use, they seem to help.

I had some pain in my right elbow couples nights ago benching, weird!

a535 is similar to blue heat i think, just you can get blue heat in bulk for a little cheaper.

all powerlifters have elbow pain, its almost required.
