I don't do sumos. I'm not sure if they'd be better than regular pulls for my build. I've never done them long enough to find out. One day I will, maybe after the contest I'll do a couple cycles with sumos.

Apparently we'll be staying in the french quarter, which is supposed to be the main part of town. Or something, I don't really know.
We're taking a bus down, how cool is that? Roadtrip! haha. According to mapquest it's a 20 hour drive. I guess we'll be stopping partway for the night, because the trip is from Sunday to Sunday but we're only scheduled to work Tuesday-Friday. The work day is 7:45-3:45, then after 3:45 we're free to do whatever we want apparently.

I think that keeping the back arched and tight throughout the lift is a really good thing. It will teach you better form, so on a max attempt, your back won't round as much. And with sub-maximal work you should learn to keep your back arched well.
And even when you are lifting a max weight, and your form isn't great, you should still be trying to keep good form, although with a max weight it isn't going to be perfect.
The bars are fatter wtf? don't they use standard bars there? That sounds stupid if they don't have normal bars!!!

Weights are down on everything except the back raises I think. I have a million excuses. Down on the RDL because I paused longer and because I couldn't hold the bar. Also, we focused today on cuing me to keep a tight arch and my shoulders pulled back tight, which made the lift harder obviously. Also, he killed me on the RDL warmups, I was in pain holding the empty bar because I was spending time in the bottom position getting my arch/hip angle/knee angle right.
Not really sure why the deadlifts are down. I left it all out there, and even ate better preworkout than I did with this session last week. I kept my arch through the whole rep (new for me I think) and I kept my hips from floating up at the start better than I have before. Possible reasons.
Besides my excuses it was still a good session and I have no beefs with the lowered weights.
Looks like a good workout. Lower weights and better form will translate to bigger weights and better form really soon.
Had kind of a bad night last night so I had some anger to let out today. Everything is up except chin ups, which stayed the same.

im a bit late on this, but I was in New Orleans in 2000, we stayed at the Maison Dupuy, and we were told (by the staff) when we walked out the door to ALWAYS turn left and head towards Bourbon St, Apparently if we turned left and got to the end of the block we may not have come back. , other than that it was a fun place to visit

Numbers all seem to be down again. Could just be because of the differences in equipment, might not be.
I won't lie, this phase is incredibly de-motivational. I know in the next two phases my numbers will start to shoot up because of this phase, but it's still a bitch not being able to lift near what you're capable of.
This is the last week of this rep scheme, hopefully the lower reps/heavier weights in the next few weeks will make a difference.

Today was ok. Finally got 8 reps on the db bench for more than one set.
Dips haven't moved at all over the three week period.
I kept changing grip width on the close grip, so it's hard to tell if it went up or not.
200x2 bench is ok for now. Could've gotten a triple under better conditions. I can feel that my bench is about to shoot up. I feel it.
