I have a video of the 365, I'll post it in a few minutes. My form is terrible on it, the 415x2 that I had planned to do would've killed me. If I even got it.
315x2 squat was a big PR for me, mentally. It was not gay. It was bad ass.

the basics of the feds;
apf/wpc/gpc = squats to(above) parallel and a monolift. + double ply gear + briefs + they use deadlift bars + no drug testing
ipf/uspl = squats under parallel by a few inches + walked out + tons of rules. + single ply gear only + no briefs + normal bars + head on the bench when you bench press + drug testing
Simon, have you ever watched a gpc/wpo meet? ive never seen a squat above paralell allowed, sure there are some vids on youtube or whatever, but thats very rarely the case.
IPF =
-bans lifters who compete in other federations.
-dont follow their own rule book in regaurds to squat depth
-change their rules about head on bench press every month (right now, its: head can be off bench on the decent of the bar, only).
-make up dumb rules like : 50% of your ass must be on the bench, how can you even measure this?
There is a reason why 90% of the good lifters dont lift in the ipf.. and it has nothing to do with drug tests

The banning of lifters who compete in other feds is pretty gay, Australia's best Bench Presser is due for a ban because he competed last weekend, pretty gay, but he knew about it.
Squat depth has been pretty good from what I've seen, nly BS depths in WPC comp vids haha.
In Powerlifting Australia(IPF) anyway, the head always has to be on the bench, and it as always been like this, and won't change anytime soon.
Yeah the 50% thing I dunno about that, but I'll ask some people about it.

you need to fix your form, like you already know. Stop looking at the ground.
and get fired up before your lifts! You walk slow to the bar, and casually grab it. Whenever i'm attempting a weight that's heavy for me, my adrenaline starts pumping, and my heart rate goes up. I bet if you got angry with that weight, it would have been easy.
i don't really like pulls after squats. Yea you get that in competition, but the point is to get stronger in the gym. If you're not able to pull well in the gym, how well are you going to pull in the competition? If you build up your pulls on another day and get strong in them, it's going to be that much easier. Plus, matthew's not really training for a competition YET. so, until he is, he should build up the squat and the pull in the most efficient manner he can, imo.

I pull fine after heavy squats, it was just this one day.
Last week I hit a PR of 405x2 after squatting heavy. Actually, the squats felt heavy last week, and my pull was good. This week my squats were good and my pull felt heavy.
I know my form was bad in that video. I said that that's why I called it. I don't normally pull that horribly.
I'm planning to pull heavy on Tuesday with other guy. Probably after the box squats, but we'll see. Maybe I won't do as many sets of box squats. I'll take another video then if I can.

On the fail, the bar flew above my head, then came crashing down on my chest, so I immediately dipped and pushed the bar up again, did the same thing. It was almost as if I forgot to push with my arms. But I didn't.
I tried to do some heavy OH holds again after the push presses, but my left elbow was hurting really badly, and though I could hold the weight, squatting it up was a problem.
Tried doing db bench, but my first warm up set with 40s was awkward and really hard to balance. I'm sure it would've gotten better, but I didn't want to push it.
Did a shitload of volume on the machine row because rows makes my elbows happy.

high box squats (high bar position as well)
worked up to 200kgx6, in 40kg jumps
180kgx6
hydraulic squat machine
worked up to 400unitsx2 (no idea what the units are, but these were fucking hard)
did some lighter jump squats (only went onto my toes) made one end of the machine jump off the ground, that was cool
trap bar deads (we put one of almost every colour plate onto the bar, we called it pulling the rainbow)

I was planning on still doing my regular low box squats, but my elbow hurt so much from those high box squats that I decided not to. The hydraulic machine is two pads that go over your shoulder, so they were fine to do.
The bar left a line of blood on my back during the high box squats. It went through my nice white shirt, and Doug sees it and points it out to me. He says, "hey your bleeding. sweet." haha
Having 440 pounds on my back felt a lot better than I expected it to. I wasn't shaking or anything, didn't feel like I was going to lose it or couldn't handle it. It was actually pretty easy. Now if only I could parallel squat it...

I might have to stop squatting altogether until my elbow starts feeling better. I know that if I keep squatting twice a week it'll never heal.
Maybe oly squats, if the high bar position doesn't hurt my elbows. It hurt today, but I was using a lot more weight than I would for real squats, so it could've just been that. I'll have to try it and find out.
Front squats will probably be done as well.
Trap bar deads as well, since they use a lot more quad. I'm just trying to think of things that will improve my squat, specifically out of the hole.
I'm ditching my plan altogether. I'll go in with an idea of what I want to get done, but only an idea. Then I'll go by how I'm feeling. If I feel strong in a certain lift that day, I'll go really heavy on it. If I'm not feeling too strong, I'll just go regular heavy.
