My biggest problem with my squat in the past has been my walkout. I have my feet extremely wide (40-42") between the toes. I can unrack with my feet set but not walk with it, so I have to set and re-set my feet. Now that I'm going to start lifting in some feds that use a mono-lift things could get interesting. According to the guys I trained with in CA and everything I've read from westside barbell and elite fts your box is about 80% of your suited up max effort. With my walk out taking some energy and not getting everything "just perfect" I have found it's about 85% using an Inzer Hardcore suit. I am not going to use a Inzer TRX and see what happens with that. I like it better than the Hardcore, but haven't used it enough to really see any results. When/if I go double-ply probably use the Inzer Canvas or Metal Pro Squatter.
i have a metal pro squatter that i use for most of my training and deads (im wearing it in my picture there). But I perfer the ace squatter for really heavy stuff, its alot of suit though.
my box squat in the past was 80%, but then i got really good at box squats, and not so much at full squats, so i only use them for speed work now.
Youll like the monolift, i hate walking squats over about 650lbs out (although i have to quite a bit) it just doesnt feel good to me.
I think the INZER HardCore is a good suit, decent carry-over, easy to use, and pretty forgiving. It is good as my first suit.
I'll probably get a Titan Centurion next though.
A training partner of mine had been using a hardcore for a couple years, and recently switched to an INZER TRX, and he says it gives him alot more, his squat went from 265kg to 285kg in a few months(with an increase in bodyweight too). The TRX and the Centurion are similar suits too I'm told. Apparently those types of suits give a bit more carry-over, although are less forgiving, a bit harder to use, and by the looks of it, when you use them, you are about to burst a blood vessel every time
When was you last meet? You planning to do a meet anytime soon?
I've been using a Hardcore for about 6 or 7 years. I am now going to use a single ply TRX to compete in. It is NOT forgiving at all, if you dont sit back you will get nothing out of it, so form is real important, but the results you get are well worth it. With the straps down on the TRX I was getting almost the same lbs. as I was with the Hardcore straps up. Problem I was having with the TRX is you can't where it as tight as you do some of the other poly suits, because it will make you round your shoulders out and not let you keep your upper back tight if you do. I have mine tailored so the straps are just tight enough they don't slide back down the shoulders when they are up. They material is just not as flexible/stretchy as other suits I've worn. If you have every used a Rage or Rage X bench shirt you know what I mean.
today was supposed to be MEBP for me. But, there was NOBODY in the gym today, and I'm not going shrited 3 board without a decent spotter or two. so I made the best of what I had. Decided to keep it light and do 1 board and full range shirted. Hopefully next week I can arrange to get one of the regulars in there the same time I am.

515-1 tweaked my hamstring on this one. it felt light but could feel something let go just over knee level
I'm going to revise my DL day, this is ridiculous, I should be pulling a hell of allot more than the low to mid 5's. sumo, conv, rack at mid shin and above knee, and off 100's will be the torture of the day starting in two weeks.
I love the cambered bar on speed days. I use it about 50% of the time for speed work. I really feel the bar has brought up my deadlift.
I use it almost all the time on "speed day". My shoulders will not handle squating twice a week with a straight bar, then the volume of bench work I do. Once we get a mono-lift in my gym I think the camber bar will be allot easier to deal with, bc it sucks walking out with that thing.
feel like crap today, sore throat, achey, just crappy in general don't really want to go, but I have to can't be a pu$$y, plus my kid needs a spotter.......

Got my new suit back from Inzer for the 3rd time, staps too long, straps too short, this time staps just right. instead of going on with my normal routine I'm going to give this thing a try. Nothing heavy, no wraps just want to see how she feels. Meet coming up in 4 weeks......

ok after laying on the couch for 3 days feeling like crap, decided to get up and try to work out. I didn't know it was possible to get the flu during the summer, but I feel like I have it.

changed my form a little. instead of going with my feet at about a 45 degree angle to the bar, they are between 60 degrees and parallel to it. I don't know what exactly this is doing but it seems to help me keep my shoulders back, the bar closer to my shins and snap my hips forward. It also gets allot more glute and hamstring action going........

all these felt pretty good. I'm going to try something, when I went to Inzer to get my squat suit talored the lady there said you can't pull in the TRX, it will push you forward too much. I figured what the heck, nothing ventured nothing gained. Put the straps up and gave her a try........... the lady at Inzer is full of crap, best pulls EVER, very difficult even at sumo to get to the bar, this suit forces me to sit back and it really helps to explode off the floor, I don't feel my back try to "round out" as Im coming up like it does with the Max DL.

Im pretty spent and quit after this instead of doing mid-shin rack pulls and above the knee rack pulls. This will be my new routine for a few months on MEDL day........
did you have to cut weight? That could have caused the crap feeling?
No, I never cut weight, I probably should have I weighed in at 205. That virus I had a couple weeks ago, plus the anti-biotics for the ear infection is what did me in. I need to find a way to keep the electolytes up in my system.
I dropped all my openers 50 lbs from what I had in my head two weeks ago. Didn't get the numbers I wanted but this was kind of a play day for a larger meet in Oct I'm doing. I haven't competed in a year so I needed the atmosphere to get my head right.
