yes that was RAW, if/when I add the shirt I will say if it's my loose training shirt or comp sized shirt. We hardly ever "max out" raw on bench for a single, matter of fact I think it's been over two years for me. Might go up to max doubles or something like that, but not a single. We got a "wild hair" yesterday and figured why not. That is my first time ever over 400 raw........

as you can tell by my board presses I was pretty much "shot" afterwards. but now that my body knows what it feels like, it won't be hard to do again, maybe in another two years. people that don't know the difference between shirted and raw lifting don't know what a HUGE difference it is.

my shoulders were REALLY bothering me after ME squat or DE squat days. I had to invest in a camber bar or possibly quit lifting. One of the best investments I ever made, I got mine from elitefts and it's great. We squat and do good mornings with it, some of the other guys in the gym have been benching with it. I know not everyone has $400 to drop on a bar, heck I don't, but if two or three of you get together it isn't that bad. Next is a decent squat bar......

I think a SSB and a buffalo bar will be in my future as well.

I think I'm going to get a Texas powerbar next. The gym I'm at only has two decent bars and we've basically made a Buffalo bar out of one of them already. The gym director has asked us nicely, to use the same bar on squat day.

with gear being equal on both movements, my free squat is usually right around 20% higher then my box squat. I think if you use some half decent gear youll get 7.

My biggest problem with my squat in the past has been my walkout. I have my feet extremely wide (40-42") between the toes. I can unrack with my feet set but not walk with it, so I have to set and re-set my feet. Now that I'm going to start lifting in some feds that use a mono-lift things could get interesting. According to the guys I trained with in CA and everything I've read from westside barbell and elite fts your box is about 80% of your suited up max effort. With my walk out taking some energy and not getting everything "just perfect" I have found it's about 85% using an Inzer Hardcore suit. I am not going to use a Inzer TRX and see what happens with that. I like it better than the Hardcore, but haven't used it enough to really see any results. When/if I go double-ply probably use the Inzer Canvas or Metal Pro Squatter.
