Dual major.. Computer Science / GIS (Geographic Information Science)
more or less, working with satellites, remote sensing, hyperspectral images.. its pretty interesting, lots of jobs. Its funny, I have almost all the computer courses done.. and only a handful of the geography.. yet my job I contracted out is almost all geography/gis stuff Still got one more year of school after this one at least.
Cool. I'm about to learn Geofusion (I work for a major Natural Gas carrier here in the US) so I'm going to get an education in all of this stuff.

geofusion the company? ive usedgeomatrix by geofusion I beleive its called breifly.. not to bad.
I am contracting out now, I dont really want to work for anyone.. because I like my own way of doing things :p I'm saving up some cash now to startup my own gis consulting company.. might be a few years off yet.. I want to go into it pretty well known I guess.
Yeah. We are using the Geofusion interface and their Geoweb product here to help manage the pipelines.

Thinking about what I am going to do tomorrow as far as my workout goes.. I am thinking RE bench. I wonder how heavy I can go without messing with my ME workout on monday. I think work up to a medium heavy tripple, maybe 2 sets of it sounds pretty good I all of a sudden like benching again haha.
It took me twenty minutes to catch up on all the posts since the last time I've been in here. God dammit.
Nice lifts man. You could dominate a PL meet right now for your age group if you wanted to.

Thanks for checking in! Maybe I would do ok in a raw meet, but I dont know how to use gear all that well.. nor do i really want to for now
I have been looking for upcomming meets, there is an IPF meet 6 hours away from me in 6-7 weeks, but I am not really a fan of the IPF, to many rules. There is an APF meet with a raw class about 7 hours away in idaho falls, but.. thats 7 hours away.

If all goes well I am going to enter that PL meet on oct 6th As long as I dont fuck up my shoulder I should be good. Im just going to do what im doing now in terms off training as im progressing well. Ill stick to the full movements more often which I have been doing anyway pretty well.
I got to nail my squat form in the next 4 or so weeks, deadlift is looking fine, bench is progressing nicely. Ill probally just hit my planned openers, then take 4 days off before the comp.
hahahaha this is gonna suck for everyone else there.
Take a video camera to the meet, we want to see your lifts big guy.

I may try bring a camera, might have to buy one first haha. I want to know how much my form suffers with heavy weights. I hope my shoulder/elbow and joints hold up for 5 weeks of beating the shit out of em here.
They will always be there for sure. Not really sure I care that much. If I can squat 550lbs in a comp with picture perfect form, or a sloppy as hell 600lbs, ill take the 600lbs, thank you
Tomorrow = more rack pulls I think with a semi stiff leg. Go for a heavy single. Hopefully I get 600lbs in my hands tomorrow from below the knees. My regular dead has always been higher then rack pull, not sure if this is still the case though.

This is the way I see it (and everyone let me know your opinion..).
I am 4 weeks out from the contest.
Accesorry movements (RDLs, good mornings etc) are great things. But in order for these to carryover to the main lift, you need to progress on the accessory movement, then, with your new added strength, learn to use it on the main movement.
4 weeks out, I kind of think its a little late for to much accessory stuff. I am pretty sure spending the time on the actual lifts (or things very close to actual lifts) will give me a greater chance to get higher numbers in the contest.
Here is my quick plan I just made up..
this week(4) - regular westside
week 3 - bring in main movements, low accessory work
week 2 - only main movements
week 1(start of week)- hit openers then rest.
week 1(end of week) - contest.
Seems like a good plan to me, but I am new to this. 3 weeks of working on form/getting comfy with the heavy weights shold be enough. Bench and dead I have been training heavy for a while now, squat not so much (but did hit a PR a few weeks ago).. So Im sure 3 weeks will be enough to get into a half decent 'groove'/learn the lift of commands etc (gf can call them for me), and make sure i'm not doing anything against the rules of the contest.
Stiff leg rack dead (below knee).

I failed the 570 lbs at first, hard. The bar moved like 1 inch off the pins and it felt soo heavy. I took a step back, a few breaths, while being disapointed in myself. Ran up to it without a good setup and ripped the thing for 2 reps That was very max effort haha. What is good is that I think my sticking point is at the bottom now, not the top. Hopefully this goes over to my floor dead.
ok workout after that, nothing special, kind of boring actually.

Good job
Cant wait to have a boring workout with numbers like that.
I think I need to work on my row numbers
I love doing rows. I do some sort of row every workout (sometimes 2-3) no matter if im focusing on upperbody or lowerbody. Most people just dont row near enough I think. Its great for your back, shoulder health, and will add numbers to your other lifts Bentover rows (regular and underhand grip), DB rows, and seated rows with the lat pulldown bar are my favorite.
