was in a rush when i posted that workout, that squat would have been halarious to see..

I was probally like 4-5 inches below paralell, I went down fast, then paused at the bottom for a second or so (didnt mean to. went down to fast). Getting out of the hole was hard as hell because of this (usually the easiest part for me.. im weird). I didnt even know if the bar was moving. My nose exploaded and blood shot out of my nose onto the ground/hit me lol. I burst about every blood vessel in my head/chest/shoulders :p

Somehow I came up, racked the bar, and fell to the ground in my mess of blood hahaha. Good thing the gym was dead. That squat has got to be the deepest wide stance squat in the history of squats I didnt even know I could go that low. I looked back in my logs and the best raw squat I ever got was 485lbs, so its a 15lbs pr.

But, the 485lbs was in a monolift, that makes things alot easier. If I dont get beat up to bad here, I figure ill try for 600-650lbs in breifs / belt in 8-10 weeks.

Wow, your Hardcore Frank :p, that would be pretty funny to
see. I would be worried for you but laughing on the inside.
I think my head would explode too, if i tried to lift that much.

Shes very strong. Only been really lifting for like 8 months too (I dont count her previous 3 years of training because they where so shitty.. curls / abs/cardio the whole time).

Shes not one of those 'big but strong' girls either haha. 5'9 or 5'10 (shes taller then me I think) 135-140lbs with visable abs = not one of those 'big' girls lol.

My younger brother wont train with us because he gets outlifted.. haha its halarious.

Thanks guys! Joints feel a bit better today. I don't know whats going on.. I am cramping up like crazy lately. I dont have a scale, I think my weight is up.. This probably isnt helping.

More PRs to come soon, that 600lbs deadlift is still haunting me in my sleeep.. lol. want to go 600/315/600 in the very near future here with only a belt, maybe squatting briefs.

Diet update..

I know lots of you have read my opinions on just constantly eating clean and not cheating. Its not that I dont disagree with that, but I have to eat way to many damn cals these days to keep it clean. The goal is simple, get stronger without getting 'too' fat.. I dont care to much if I get fat though, I mean, its winter coming up and I can loose it pretty damn quick.

At 2500cals per day, I loose 3-4lbs per week I started weight lifting at like 160-170lbs and my body was very happy there.. but now at who knows what (225? 230? 235? who knows I need a scale). I really need to focus on eating. It makes me poor because I like good foods. I'm not that tall either, so @ ~230lbs my body goes "FU$@ you! loose weight!!!" lol.

Add cals until you are gaining weight, or, take them out til you are loosing is my method haha. BW x 15ish seems around maintenance for many people. Not for me, but my metabolism is on fire I suspect.

Have you guys experimented with how your metabolism reacts to different foods and macros? Protein might burn up really fast, while fat and carbs give you more bang for your caloric buck. Books like Metabolism Advantage talk about it from the opposite perspective, where you eat more P because the TEF is higher. Maybe less P for you, and more fat? Plus, fat's cheap and easy.

Just a thought. I have no science here.

I have played with it a bit, im not convinced it makes all that much difference though. I actually don't eat all that much protein when considering the total amount of cals. Only around 20-30%. Since the cals are high, this is actually a fair amount of protein mind you (300g or so).

On the other hand, carbs seem to 'boost' my metabolism. Hot and sweaty after eating high carb meals is typical.

Nobody ever does..

Each side thinks the other side is worse haha. Wouldnt be an issue really at all if I could be happy at 220lbs or so.

My dad is around 210 @ probably 8-10% bf and the other night I was over and he was eating a large pizza to himself muttering something about not being able to gain any weight. Maybe its genetic.

I'll join the ranks that say enjoy it ... the opposite problem is a bummer too ... especially for women since we always worry about our appearance ...

All I can say is WOW. First time I've dropped by your log, and you (and your girlfriend) are amazing. I would love to see pics of both of you!

(And, here I was all proud of my squats last night at 60 pounds! LOL!)

But, the 485lbs was in a monolift, that makes things alot easier. If I dont get beat up to bad here, I figure ill try for 600-650lbs in breifs / belt in 8-10 weeks.
