The cable itself won't break. The connection to the hook or loop or whatever it is on the end of the cable is what will break. One in my gym came off, and the stack doesn't even go up to 300 pounds. I'm not even sure that stack went up to 100 pounds.
Because I dont want to diet for my first meet, i mean, unless your going for records (which im not really close to the numbers in this fed ) why diet? Its not like anyone really cares what class you are in at the meet. This meet is just getting my feet wet.

kind of fun, had an insane tricep/forearm pump going. very painful.

As I was doing rows these dudes where trash talking my brother who was accross the gym doing some presses. The one guy goes 'im gonna go kick that kids ass' and starts walking over to him, he kind of pushes my brother, and I turn him around and say
"Dont touch him, youll regret that you did"
the dude looks down at the floor and says
"sorry sir I didnt know he was with you"
and walks away

hahahahahahaha. All this because my brother was using the calf machine and they wanted to (he was supersetting) lol I found this halarious.
I love days when I just go to the gym and say screw it. It's great to do just what's fun some days. It's one way I get myself to go when I don't feel like going to the gym. I just can't do too many of these.

1 week out

gonna hit my openers tomorrow and then maybe 1 back workout, then the meet. I feel pretty strong these days, hopefully I hit some PRs. Last night I hit my hams/back/shoulders a bit. Forget what I did exactly, but some paused neutral grip db presses, push presses, and some various rows, nothing spectacular.

openers are just 425/275/480 so its not going to be all that hard of a workout tomorrow.

Getting pretty excieted about the meet. going to have some fun and hopefully bring back a couple of PRs.

got my skinny ass brother to bench/deadlift today, the kids a rail, 6'3ish probally 150lbs. Hit a bit over 300 on the deads, and a bit over 2 on the bench. Hes just been doing curls/other lame shit now for around a month or so. I thought was doing not to bad for first time maxing out ever. When he out benches my dad (who is probally around 270 or so lbs now?) he gets $100 lucky bugger.. I am training him for that now haha.

He won't do mobility work. I don't think "mobility" is in his vocabulary yet. Maybe after the meet, right Frankie?
Honestly man, since I've been doing hammie/hip flexor stretches, I've felt a whole lot better. And my lifts haven't suffered a bit, so far as I can tell. If anything stretching seems to have helped me.

btw I emailed you a couple days ago about CS stuff.

mobility work is dynamic stretching. Or if you rather, it's stretching dynamically.
ie you can't do mobility work without stretching. stretching is the definition of mobility work.

sled dragging would be good.
or high rep stuff (sets of 20, but NOT with your 9-10RM like a lunatic)
or hell, do some sprints
orr... walk up a hill? I don't know. But ya, do something active.

ps. you were thinking 'movement preparation'.......movement preparation.

I didnt get your email You should re-send if you can, is it @ my uleth email?

My mobility is actually quite good, thats a large part of why I dont do any. I can full squat, snatch, do pistols etc all pretty good, it was not long ago I could do the splits (probally not close now and I really dont care haha). Being a hockey goalie for years did me some good. I can touch my toes now too, Roland showed me how, actually I can get past my toes by a few inches with his method. Now I cant even come close, whatso ever to the 'over-under behind back test' that waterbury talks about now, but I could do it before I put a bunch of size on my lats.
