I know, I can't wait.

Let me win a few contests in the IPF first.

been training it very hard since my last contest, it was embarrassing having 150lbs guys out bench me when i benched was benching 400.

I figure at 600lbs my bench would be average, 700lbs will be good.

forgot to mention, my shoulder is back to near 100%, I hardly feel any pain.My conclusion, when you have shoulder pain - do 800lbs reverse band 3 boards. The shitty parts of the shoulder will die and the strong ones will conquer..

But - i did something to my tricep today. I put my shirt on and felt a weird pinch in my elbow/tricep. Figured it was nothing, stuff like this usually is. On the last set of bench, after I unracked it, it hurt like hell and I thought something serious had happend. After a few minute of complaining, the inclides actually didn't bother it at all. The rolling DBs at the end sure as hell did though, those where a very painful 8 sets. I cant let the 51yo guy I train with beat me at - anything.. so I did them. I think I'll be fine, but i may have to make tuesdays workout lighter if the pain doesn't go down. or, more likely man up and just do it.

The rivalry I have going with this guy is so funny. My girlfriend is convinced we are going to kill each other in the gym one day. Our goal in the gym is just to beat the other on any accessory or deadlift movement (i have him pretty good on squats/bench but not the accessory work that goes along with them).

Yesterday when i pulled 601 x 4 from the #2 pin, i thought I had him beat for sure (that was a bitch of a pull, one of my better DL moments). Sure enough - he gets 4 reps. The last 2 contests ive entered hes beat me in the deadlift (one time by 2.5kg.. the smallest increment.. just to piss me off i think). I dont care what it takes, im out pulling him on april 4th.

I never thought it would take this much effort to surpass this 51 year old guy. We are to the pound the same weight too... no excuses

very true.. i will try though.

me squats

squats

up to 401lbs x 1 in single ply briefs
full gear
750lbs x 1 - used ATPs 'the wrap'
800 x 1 - deep. Used atp convict knee wraps

add reverse light bands
650 x 3 - straps down
700 x 3 - full gear, no wraps
750 x 3 - full gear, no wraps

notes
-800lbs felt solid today. will take as a 2nd attempt (805).
-im not sold on my new knee wraps, felt like i got nothing out of them.
-im using far less gear then i used to in the squat.. feel like i have more control.
-had no spotters today.. i set up the most redneck spotting thing ever. I stacked benches and 45lbs plates on each side of the monolift so that if I failed I could set the bar on them.. I'm really glad i didn't fail and reps..
-837lbs is the current world record in the gpc. who knows.

I think if you had like 3 guys to help get them on, they would be alright, but one guy is not enough. They are so stiff that I could only wrap them around a couple of times, the strangulators/convicts i get get around tons of times. The convicts are my favorite so far.

You're 37 pounds away from a world record?
Did I read that right?
