Yeah, and like I said, D, this is an OFF week... LOL!
Today:
rom DL 145
push up +35
--OK, this was pretty funny. I asked some random dude if he would help me out and set the plate on me--he was like, "THIS one?!?" HAHAHAHAH....
BB squat 125
standing UL DB row 45
Saxons 2.5
Tabatas: TGUs 12# db
DONE.
Food was good yesterday. I'm marinating scallops for tonight on the BBQ. Yum, yum! Also, Trader Joe had some california rolls with reasonably good macros (for four: 140 cals, 3.5 g fat, 23 g carb, 3 g prot), so I'll be wasaaaaahbi-ing all the way to the pillow tonight.
That makes me laugh! Workouts are looking great Tina!

Yum on all accounts!!!
Some random dude....hehe!

You know, it's the funniest thing. I should be less busy, but I am just slammed with things I need to do.
Anyway, ran yesterday, ran today. No new tales to tell. I fought and won against some serious cravings yesterday (posted in the 21 day challenge log), and feel pretty damned good about that.
I am starting phase 2 with Jonathan after a nice transition week. I can't wait for the next stage of ass-kicking!
Very nice looking workout Tina. What does hammer strength mean on the lat pulldowns?

Hammer strength is a brand of equipment that's plate loaded and each arm can work independently. There's still some definite mechanical advantage to it, though.
Today: running intervals, outside. Ankle was talking to me, lateral malleolus, just posterior to it, sharp stabbing owie pain on the uphills.
Dammit.
Had to walk the last mile home.

oh, I thought these were Carpatho-Rusyn Deadlifts
Man, do I appreciate a fellow smartass, Lisa.
Thanks, Julie, I think things will calm down eventually.
Stingo: I'm shooting for 200 lbs very soon. I'll get it, too.

Has this pain been ongoing for any length of time? Does it get better with rest?
I had a weird thing with pain in the EXACT location. I was playing basketball at the time, and it was on Tuesday nights. Wednesday I could barely walk ... then it would get progressively better until Tuesday when it would flare up again. I ended up having PT on it to no avail ... and we did some imaging (MRI). I have/had ganglion cysts INSIDE my ankle. I opted against the recommended surgery since it would make me NWB for 6 weeks (um yea ... with at the time two kids under 2 ... I don't think so!!) so they went in with a needle guided by ultrasound and aspirated what they could. It is probably 90 percent recovered if I don't pound on it too much. I can feel it after sprints and after jumping rope if I do too many days in a row.

OK, so I've never done pin squats or true rack pulls before.... fun stuff! I got some weird looks in the gym at 530 AM, due to, I'm guessing, my groaning and sweating all over the place.
Julie--I've had an issue off and on since my last pair of running shoes started to bite the dust. The hills really trigger and then aggravate it; seems to be in the peroneal tendon area. Since I tell other people to take motrin for this type of thing, you'd THINK I might take my own advice, but... docs are THE worst patients, bar none.
I'll be running on the dreadmill tomorrow, darn it.
I would post a vid, but I never can get the things to work...
You start in the bottom, bar on pins and power up then back down to the pins. It develops your power out of the hole for squats; you're also forced into the proper position for optimal squatting, I believe. Anything with chains, power racks, and lots of weight is good in my book.

I do those, too. I call them Anderson Squats. I don't know why.
Today: just some mobility stuff for this stupid friggin left scapula. Did my measures today as well, and they're OK--body fat is still at 17.5% which sucks ass. Relevant numbers that I'm tracking:
chest 36.25
waist 26.75
hips 36
R thigh 21.375
R calf 14.25
R bicep 10.875
Why, oh why am I built like a german barmaid...
Oh yeah, because I'm part deutcshland, originally. Damned genetics.
