Then the REAL workout: hiking Mt Diablo on a so-called "moderate" trail. HA!
I wiped out in the first 0.25 miles (will post pic once I download it), it was 1680 feet of climbing in 2.4 miles, and it took over 53 minutes to get that far. If my ass (literally, my glutes) isn't sore tomorrow, I'll be shocked.
Now, back to home improvement with DH. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
SHould have just driven up the road to the top. I made the mistake of hiking that trail back in the early 70s when my family lived in the Bay area. Got up there and couldn't see a thing...way too foggy. I've been back to Mt. Diablo several times since, but drove up instead of hiking.
If you like hiking up mountains, you absolutely must go to Mt. Lassen Volcanic Ntl. Park (my favorite National Park)! The 5 mile (2000' elevation delta) trail to the top of the 10,457' Mt Lassen isn't as difficult as Mt. Diablo, but the views! ...And, no road to the top. I first hiked it when I as 9, went back at 11 and again just 10 years ago.

You are SUCH a sicko, Jill... (takes one to call one, sez I)
Today: Run intervals and SS on tmill, some band stuff.

Hope all is well after the hike. Sounds like it was a killer trail.
Tina, how do you do the weighted pushups? Do you put a plate on your back? If so, how do you get it on your back? Does someone put it there? Just wonderin'...

Yup, exactly. It's a little hard to put a 25# plate on oneself, but somehow I have juuuuust enough flexibility to get it on there.
Victoria, I am ashamed to say that I still haven't used my TRX... soon. I am working out 6 days/week right now and just haven't had a lot of down time at work and home.
I really LOVE doing the pushups. BW pushups are almost obscenely easy at this point... I guess the next step might be going to a decline set up... hmmm.
Today:
1A reverse DB lunges 45#(ea)
1B NG supinated lat pd 120#
2A DLs 125 (in the hole on these to start without a full plate. Ouchers)
2B incline SB db press 35#
2C abd push/press
Tabatas: burpees
DONE.
Great workout today. Had to growl at a few dudes in the midst of my second superset trio--they actually tried to nick my deadlift bar, the bastards!

I know, Greg... you are so right.... it was a great hike though. I am afraid to see what constitutes "strenuous" without a pair of solid boots and some hiking poles.
You all are some creative pushupers!
Today (cue heavenly parting of clouds with sunbeam and a hallelujah chorus): Run to.....
STARBUCKS
and then walked back. Only ran for 25 mins--2.8 miles or so. Nice and overcast and very comfy.
The only problem with this route is that I am forced to run by this area of bare earth where day laborers congregate to be hired. It makes me fairly uncomfortable. I may opt to run to the other starbucks but that run takes me through an area that is slightly sketchy as well. Grrrr!
Only three... but I had another couple in the bucket.
Nice PR chica! Damn, lady, you could seriously do some powerlifting, ya know? You've only been at this A YEAR.
Pat yourself on the back (and prepare for a friendly l'il competition in November around Thanksgiving if you're available.... )

OH, how I hope I can someday say that BW pushups are obscenely easy!!! This coming from someone whose goal is to do ONE!! You are my hero.
Yeah, and like I said, D, this is an OFF week... LOL!
Today:
rom DL 145
push up +35
--OK, this was pretty funny. I asked some random dude if he would help me out and set the plate on me--he was like, "THIS one?!?" HAHAHAHAH....
BB squat 125
standing UL DB row 45
Saxons 2.5
Tabatas: TGUs 12# db
DONE.
Food was good yesterday. I'm marinating scallops for tonight on the BBQ. Yum, yum! Also, Trader Joe had some california rolls with reasonably good macros (for four: 140 cals, 3.5 g fat, 23 g carb, 3 g prot), so I'll be wasaaaaahbi-ing all the way to the pillow tonight.
