Very decadent. Good clean fun, but holy shit! Five star dining is $$$$$$$$$$$$!!!
Today:
Intervals on the stepmill for 20 mins.
Chiro/ART dude today told me nothing new--I'm tight in my left glute and quad I have soft tissue fibrosis in the left lateral ankle (peroneals and anterior tibialis). I apparently have a really stiff SI on the left as well, so I got that cracked today. It about scared the life out of me! I *think* it feels a bit better... either that or I'm deep in shock!
Well hopefully the sports med doctor can tell you something!

Gosh, I hope so, Paula. The good news is that they cancelled the "fun" run for the entire Wing tomorrow, so at least I don't have to look like the slacker loo-hoo-hoo-ser walking at the back of the pack.
Today:
EXPLODE!!!!
1A Sumo DL 135
1B One armed bench push ups
2A King DLs 10(E)
2B BW chins with thick resistance band
3A DB laterals 15
3B 45 deg calf sled 360
last two sets were regular tempo. I could have gone heavier on the calves, but I'll take it.
Plain films of my rt ankle only, still haven't been read though. The glute medius on the left he thinks was probably a partial avulsion at the insertion, but he's not really very comfortable in the glute area, since he deals mainly w knees and ankles
Pain is deep, posterior iliac crest, at the insertion of the glute medius. No trochanteric bursitis, I don't think. There's no pain at the trochanter at all. I hurt my "hip" over two years ago (best guess is a partial avulsion of GM from overstretching, of all things), and thought I was finally completely "over" it, but apparently not. It started hurting me again when I was doing a lot of treadmill running last summer, and really started to be a persistent issue over the last 2 months or so. It only hurts when I run though.
The ankle might be a stress fx or an osteoma impinging on the talar joint OR osteochondritis dessicans (sp?) which is usually a knee issue, as you know. Anyway, I've been forbidden from running by both he and Bip, so fuckity-fuck, I'm hosed.
I AM going to run in Michigan next week though. On trails, and not at all if it hurts. I am finding myself VERY depressed this week. My body fat bumped to 17% from 16%--yes, I did have too much fun in Vegas, but still. My weight was down a lb this week, so I expected to see a corresponding dip in body fat. I'm frustrated.
Ohhh ... I didn't remember that you'd hurt your hip too ... when was that? Was/is your pain over the greater trochanter?
Did he have anything to say about the ankle?

Hang in there, Tina! Maybe the trip home will help?

Thanks, Lance! And thanks for stopping by, T-Runner! I just moved from Tx a few months ago (SA, not Dallas). Can't say I miss the weather much....
Today:
Dynamic bench 75
Incline DB bench 40
Weighted bench push ups +25
Tri pulley pressdowns 50
Planks
Done!
The tri pulleys sucked ass. It's funny how every single cable unit has a different mechanical advantage.... and the dynamic bench was mehhhh. I felt "snappy" the first couple of sets then not so much.
I am SORE from yesterday--low back, hamstrings... it's wonderful!
Way to go on all the PRS Hope you have a good time running in michigan
