eh,
people are delusional if they think that steroids aren't rampant in the olympics. I would bet money that at least 70-80% of people on weightlifting teams use. It's just about who gets caught, and who plays better politics.

Happy with how things are moving. I'll do some farmers and then yoke or carry and drag tomorrow, or maybe all three. I don't have anything to do tomorrow anyway, except some papers, but i may not do those.

That looks much better. Make sure the weight is on your heels and that your hamstrings are taking the load when getting it off the floor (think DL). From there, its all ass.
The elbows moved faster but I think you could get to roll a little bit faster.
And drop under that shit! Youre not going to get many reps pressing it like that.

dude, i still need to learn how to jerk properly! I figured i'd work on getting the weight push press style, and then learn to jerk from there. i just want to make sure i don't bomb out on the log.

Woke up today and felt like shit. Sinuses are really acting up, and affecting everyone around here. I pretty much felt like i had a cold, and was coughing up a lot of stuff. But, it's just too nice outside not to train, so...
Events:
Farmers (turn at 60ft):
110/hand for 120ft
160/hand for 120ft
180/hand for 120ft (pr for distance w/ this weight)
200/hand for 70ft (pr for distance. made the turn, REAL slow, and made 10 more ft.)
160/hand for 50ft (worked on the feet shuffle more here. felt a lot faster and more stable.)
Keg/Sled Drag Medley (60ft each):
140-150/230 around 25 seconds
140-150/280 around 24 seconds
loaded up the plates i had lying around and dragged the sled back to my garage slowly
320 sled for 60 ft
good day. I'll up the weight on the kegs and sled next time. I still need to work on my turns badly on the farmers. I need to work on pressing the two 45plates in the front end of the farmers against each other so the weight doesn't turn in towards my body on the turn. Also, work on shuffling. I'll probably take 215 or so for a run next time for about 60 ft, and then just work on increasing the distance in the next few weeks.

didn't lift this morning. I woke up, and was just too run down to get up. I'm not that sore today, but just a little stiff, and my bicep is a little sore, so i figured i'd play it smart, and ice today, and then go tomorrow morning.
Plus, i like tues/thurs better than mon/wed because i have more time to workout, and i don't have to work out at a frantic pace to get to class, since my class is at 2:30 on t/tr. I've still come 30min late to class because the teacher doesn't even care.

Bicep is still tender. Decided to press anyway, but not take a pr attempt today, and just hit some rep prs.
Log Clean and press:

198x1 (13lb PR!)
220xmiss (the spotters touched this. they said they didn't help up the bar, but just stopped it from falling forward. I'll get it in due time).

Man you need to get that bicep looked at, that shit isnt normal for someone your age. Find an ART guy and get that shit fixed.

yea i know. closest art guy is a few hours away though.
it felt fine the past few weeks. i think i tweaked it on events this past weekend somehow though, b/c it was sore the next day. It doesn't hurt nearly as bad as before, so i think it's getting better...

yea it would! Hopefully it will be more like a training session with all of them, than me just lifting and them being there and watching. We gotta have a competitive atmosphere!
if everything feels good, i'm going for a 450 pull on thursday.
