You're not a boob woman?
Moron.
For a girl I'm interested in dating, I'm all about the cute face. That's all I need.
For eye candy, I'm all about the butt/legs.

So how are those snatches coming along? Do you feel like you're making any progress on your technique? Looks like you're pulling more weight. These are still power snatches right? From the floor?

Theyre backing out of his car and road trips, if that gives you any indication.

So his snatches think that 11pm is too late to drive an hour to the casino? Too bad. He needs to keep his pimp hand strong.

yea, they're power snatches from the floor. I tried them from the hang today for warmups, and they felt faster, probably b/c i'm using my back better.
i've been trying to keep my arms as straight as i can until i start to get under it. I like my technique on snatches better than cleans.

well, i got off work at like 10:30, 15 minute drive home, if she drives to my house from her parents, 15 minutes, plus an hour and a 15 minutes to get there. so, it'd be 12 sometime before we got there.

Floor it, or just rent a hotel room

i can't get out early. the places closes at 10, so there's no way i can get out early. They come to get my drawer at 10, so i can't turn it in earlier.
I had to change to get out of my gross clothes before i went anyway.
the thing is that i wouldn't be opposed to driving there, and driving back late/early. We had easter the next morning, so day off work, and since i didn't do anything anyway on easter, i would just have slept in like i did. So, i wouldn't really care if i stayed up until 5am or whatever.
The weird thing is that it was her bday and her idea to go (although, maybe she thought earlier). then she says it's too late.

Novice will do log clean and press for reps-180//// trap bar dead-450 for reps....farmers walk 215x max distance....yoke walk 550/20m....carry and drag...20m each/ not sure on weights yet?
|
chad just posted the events.
looks like i need to get training. Now i have an idea of what i need to target, so that's what i will be concentrating on from now until july.
best trap bar pull was 415 a month or so ago. From the video, it looked like i was good for more.
did 2 runs (i think) w/ 200lbs for farmers (50ft or so). That shouldn't be a problem. I think i'll just have to work on my turns. Grip is one of my better qualities, so as long as i can stay tight, and get a good pick, i should be ok.
I did 450 on the yoke for 50ft or so. so, i need to start pounding the yoke more.
No idea on the carry and drag.

You need to hammer those trap bar pulls more than anything.
What is your plan sir?

well, if i bring my trap bar up, then it will make my farmers pickup better.
I'm still coming up with my plan. I'll still do some oly lifts, but not maximal, probably just for speed and good form, and semi-heavy for me. I'll focus more on trap bar pulls, i'll do log work instead of straight bar. I'm thinking maybe something like this
Tues: cleans/snatch
trap bar pulls
squats
Thurs: clean/snatch
front squats
maybe work on jerks for speed?
Events: yoke, farmers (work on speed and turns), carry and drag
not sure yet though. this is just a very rough idea.

im not seeing how cleans/snatches will help with those particular events?
im thinking heavy squats, deads (straight or trap bar or rack pulls), push presses, and maybe strict overheads for variation would serve you better?
I wish i actually had to money to enter that, with those events id whoop your ass

clean and press Frankie, 180 for reps
He needs to clean 180.
I'd clean on both Tuesday and Thursday, one heavy and one light for form work. Forget snatches.
