I think it's time to add some curls to your training sessions:p

Slow your squat down just a touch, you drop down a little fast.
Read this entry from Bill's blog.

ps. I like how I can just say Bill, and we all know exactly who I'm talking about, even though none of us really know him personally.

thanks dude, i don't think it's descending too fast. I actually think that it's either a form issue i still need to work on, or it's a weak middle back. I'm going to be working on the latter in my workouts, and see how it works out.

I'm also thinking about doing extra workouts once school starts, and maybe do some chest supported rows in the morning, and build up volume, conditioning, and strength in my back

Looks like you are getting stuck in the hole a bit. Box squats perhaps?

the weight feels really, really easy, but i always throw my head forward out of the hole, or, i rise with my hips first, and forget to throw my head back into the bar, so i GM the weight out.

Dan said i have a weak middle back, so i'm going to be targeting that, as well as form

I think you need to stay tighter and be more aggressive with that weight. You have another 50-75lbs+ in you I bet if you really smash the weight.

8-24-07:
Hip Mobility

Deadlifts:
305x3
335x4 (pr. AWESOME!)
275x6 (ouch, and pr, yea!!!)

DB Walking Lunges:
35x10
35x8

Some banded scap work

and that was it. Totally beat. I'm really happy with where my pull is going. 2 weeks after i strained my back, and i pulled a big rep pr, which felt great. I probably would have been able to get 5 on 335, and maybe more on 275, but i'm happy!

I think he still is. He was supposed to compete last weekend at Louie's big PLing meet that he was having, but i think he had problems with his arm. Here's what Al said,

"As for Tim Harold, he has some current arm injuries right now that keep him from training at 100%. Other than that Tim looks great and his spirits are up. I spent some time talking to him and he seemed fine and optimistic that his arm will heal and perhaps the next PRO-AM he will come out and play."

Rolling tricep extensions I think.. Ive used em before, they are pretty damn good.. kind of a cross between a press and an extension IMO.

yea, they're rolling db extensions. They're good because you cheat with them, and by cheating, you don't put a lot of pressure on your elbows.

made a sandbag today. I'm using an old army duffel bag (which i'm washing now). The whole thing cost less than 20 bucks to make. I'll also be getting a keg (from a kegger), in about 3 weeks (the mich/ND game), so i can do some good medleys as conditioning.

8-27-07:

Thick Bar Overhead (strict):
105x3
110x3
115x3 (rep pr)
105x2

DB Rolling Extensions:
5 sets

DB Rows:
75x15
60x20

I don't really have a plan for overhead. My problems are tri strength, which i'm trying to correct.

Called Chad today in Kokomo, and i'll probably be driving down there to train w/ them early in the morning. He's also lifting w/ Don Pope on Saturday, who took third place in the WSM SS last year in China. I think he definitely has a chance in taking first this year, as he can keep up with most anyone. I was invited to train Saturday with them, but it sucks b/c i have to work at 4!!! uggggggggg!!!!

But definitely some exciting stuff happening soon.

Does your sandbag girlfriend have a name? Are you planning on running around the neighborhood at night like Lost Dog does...scaring the neighbors?

should i name it?

maybe , but i have 2 neighbors, both of which are ghetto, and not all there. The kids just walk out of the house and scream for no reason. Not even screaming anything in particular, just scream. And there's about 5 all different ages.

I think they scare me more than i scare them.
