i guess Krystal was a reserve for the 2004 olympic teams, according to the people over at marunde's site. So, his olifting has really come in handy.

He was also the HW winner at Chad's contest last year.

it's crazy how fast the strength in strongman competitors is progressing. I talked to Frank about this briefly. You look at competitions from 20 years ago, and they are doing lifts that are now in lightweight AM competitions. Just awhile ago, a 300 log was a real good press. Now, we have people getting close to 450. It's just insane.
Nice short shorts.

pfft. ha ha. What a Nancy.

12-24-07:

CG Bench:
175x1
185xmiss
180x1 (i sadly think this is a pr, and possibly the slowest bench ever.)
155x3

Sled Drag:
250lb+sled (i think around 300lbs).

this was brutal. i drug the sled in the 10degree weather outside b/c there was no snow, then when i couldn't move it anymore, i took off 2 35lb plates, and dragged it some more.

Squats off pins:
225x1
245x1
265x1
285xmiss I tried this a few times. Broke it off the pins, but just couldn't get it.

I was pretty pissed at this. Plus, i was tired, so i just fooled around with stuff, and left...

You spend too much time looking at pictures, and not enough time lifting heavy things.

Also, you need to get yourself a girlfriend. Pronto.

That's right, I said pronto.

Oh, but don't stop posting these pictures

1-2-07:
Mobility
Foam Rolling

Front Squats (really high volume):
95x3x2
115x3x2
135x2
145x2x3
150x2
155x2
165x2
145x2
115x5
115x4

Log Cleans:
90x3
140x1x3
160x1x3

I usually don't post all my warmups and everything, but i just did it to show how many sets i did. I felt good, so i kept going until the squats started to feel hard. I need more volume to build! First time really doing log cleans. 160 feels so awkward on my chest. ug.

I might be going up to Chad's on Saturday instead of friday this week. Probably will do events, but i dunno. I have both friday and saturday off work after working 9 days straight, and i don't think the roads will be cleared of the 18" of snow that we've gotten so far (and, it's still snowing).

And, for matthew....
