Good job on seeing Mike and Bill. Can't wait to see what you'll be doing. I'm four weeks into my hip/glute re-tooling now. I miss the big stuff, but on the other hand, my legs seem to be growing more from these bodyweight movements more than they were from the bad weighted movements.

thanks! Hopefully i'll get this stuff all squared away soon. I won't be posting everything in great detail because it wouldn't be fair. But, there will be enough stuff in here to give you guys a good idea what i'm doing.

Why would it be unfair?
We're all going to start doing what you're doing because we all have the same issue as you? And if you didn't post it, we'd go and make our own appointment, so it's like you're keeping them from making money?

Come on. Just post what they have you doing.

2-10-09:
30 minutes cardio on bike with 3 30 second intervals. Rest was steady state

2-12-09:
did the test for out class. This was for the group:

1/2 mile run
40 chins
80 pushups
50 dips

We finished (a few reps shy on chins and dips), in 10 minutes. Not too bad, as i think it's the best in our class. 2 people got sick today from doing it. One guy i guess almost puked, and another girl looked like she was going to. One group finished the whole thing in 8 minutes, so we have something to shoot for.

At least this will count for my cardio as my heart rate was pretty high.

I'll try and hit the gym for the first workout in the program tonight after class.

2-13-09:
Foam Rolling
Dynamic Warmup: Knee Hugs, Single Leg RDLs, Lunge+Twist, etc
Acute Corrective Exercises: psoas, rectus femoris, psoas holds, etc

A1: RDLs: 135x12, 150x12
A2: DB Split Squats: 20x12x3
(did an extra set on these for some satanic reason)

B1: Seated Row: 100x12, 110x12 (had to sub these b/c i didn't have a CSR)
B2: Incline Pushups: 2x12

C1: External Roation: 2x12
C2: Plank: 2x10

some more stretching at home.

Had to go b/c gym was closing. I'll do some cardio and I, T, Ys tomorrow.

this was pretty brutal. I was sweating like crazy. Back feels great after this. I really concentrated on using tight form on all exercises, tight core, and flat/arch backed.

Lookit you all dynamic and stretchy! I'm pretty psyched to see what kind of results you're going to see from this program.

Prisoner stepups sound hard. I do single-leg stuff once a week and it is sooooooooooooo hard! I hate it, but it works. I think it's not boring as long as you have a goal in mind and you see continous progress.

Frank is just worried because he will soon be your bitch

prisoner stepups were actually the easiest part of that workout. The side planks were very very brutal. I really suck at those.

i guess it has its place for injury recovery.

I hope i never get my body 'jacked up' lol.. Ive been lucky so far. Before I started lifting I broke so many bones that alot of my joints are just screwed anyway.. but from lifting ive only gotten tendonitis, a pulled hamstring and whatever the hell is up with my tricep right now.

well, injuries are all part of the game, so unfortunately, the chances are high that you'll get one eventually. Hopefully it won't be until you break a few records though. Maybe you'll luck out though, and only have minor ones... Chad's only had a few minor ones, like a quad tear, knee scoped, etc and has been in this game for 20+ years. No big pec tears or anything like that.

For me, i'm just super inflexible. Not sure why, but my hamstrings, glutes, and hips are all very tight, so things unilateral work, lots of stretching, and foam rolling are helping to get them looser.

2-19-09:
Mobility, etc etc

A1. RDLs: 135x12, 185x12, 165x12
A2. DB Split Squats: 20x12, 25x12

B1. CSR: +50x12, +60x12x2 (these felt really easy. I didn't know where to start w/ a high rep range, so i'll bump it up next time).
B2. Incline Pushups: 2x12

C. Shoulder stuff

1/2 mile jog.
This was rough. I was already tired from lack of sleep, early in the morning, and from all the supersets of stuff from the workout.

More stretching.

I'll do more stretching and foam rolling throughout the day. RDLs are starting to feel good as i'm bumping up the weight. I hate high rep ones though, b/c my grip starts to fatigue by the later reps.

Today, i saw some interesting stuff in the school gym. When i was jogging/running, there were 2 girls walking around the track (careful not to work up a sweat), and as i was stretching and they were leaving, i heard them talking about where and when they were going to get their nails done.

I also got weird looks from people in the school gym when i was actually sweating. I'm pretty sure they've never seen anything like that before.

*eye roll*

Now, just to clarify... you're just sweating profusely, not reeking, right? That would deserve the hairy eyeball.

they're basically just a step up with your hands behind your head. the focus is proper form, tight core, and proper t-spine alignment.

i've been sitting waiting to try and get cubs tickets forever! I'm stuck in the waiting room b/c the traffic is so high.

Here's something that terry hollands posted on his facebook status comments...

Quote:
my eye's are pretty bad. My right one is totally bloody! It looks bad. Lauren keeps saying i look like i've been possessed by the devil.

I've always done powercleans just not regularly. I'll work upto about 170 for 2 today. I've recently started getting some coaching with my olympic lifting. I'm planning on competing next year. Hopefully by september i'll be doing 210 clean and jerk and 160 snatch.

I'm hoping for a 350kg squat today. My squatting has always been a little weak but it's improving quite well at the moment.
