Those are nice squats, good job Simon.

PA - aren't you gaining weight? Don't put whey in your meals, man, you need the calories of whole foods. You can get enough protein without it anway.

Yeah I agree, i don' want to spend money on whey when i can eat whole foods, for example this is what i eat pretty much every night:

2 x 200g tub of yogurt --- 20g protein
2 x 95g tuna --- 35g protein
2 glasses of milk(500mL) - 27g protein

Yeah, i know i eat like a monster, but If i can get 80+ grams of protein so easily, i wont need any extra whey.

Pfft eat like a monster; that's nothing :p

BTW, I eat like crazy and still have a whey shake every once in a while. If I'm running late or just feel extra hungry I'll make one. I go to Gatorade/Whey route for convenience and cost too. $25 for a tub or whey + $7 bucks for a big tub of powdered Gatorde at BJ'slast me a few months.

Yeah, they seem like really good guys at TP. At least one of them even posts on thie forum, I recomend them. I guess I am not sure what I wrote down is in there, but I trust them enough. I get jittery when I injest a bunch of simple carbs and I did when I drank their shake. Good enough for me.

I'll never understand how you can do so much lifting, and so much heavy lifting, in one day.

I am impressed.

Honestly, 1-5 rep stuff is easier on my body then high rep stuff. I dont feel overtrained or anything at all when I train like I do now. Put me on waterburys 2 x 24 day which I did a few days ago and I am toast. This style training is not that hard on me, its supersets with low rest and single leg movements that are. This training program is just an experiement by me seeing what will happen if I double my workload;

from what ive read about the effects of the nervous system, its so minimal the amount extra damnage that I will encoutner on this program due to full rest days between workouts. Most cases of overtraining come from people who keep working out while they have overtraining symtoms, it all adds up and compiles. The amount that that will happen to me over the next 6ish weeks should in theory be so small that the increased muscle gained will make up for it.

Ive been tracking my waking heart rate and a few other things as well trying to keep track of how much im taxing my body (morning body temp, reaction tests etc).. So far its minimal (1BPM up day after training is the mean so far).

On another note, I havnt stepped on the scale in a few days, but I am up weight, im not weighing myself until the end of this training cycle. No doubt in my mind ill be heavier with less bf in the end of it.

Of course, there is a damn good chance im wrong about all of this and later this week my body will implode. But I dont think this will happen that soon. Plus during the next week, I have no school, unsure if I will be able to keep training 2x per day, I hope so.

Ok, so I figured I might as well post my DL stuff in here. Only my DL stuff will show up. I am going for 315 before Sunday (mark that in your calendar PA!!)

I have a 32 lb 6' Oly bar and 227 lbs of weight (my 4x45's come in on Thursday, for a total of 407 lbs of iron).

137 lbs x 10
152 lbs x 8
172 lbs x 6
192 lbs x 4
202 lbs x 2
222 lbs x 1
227 lbs x 1

Total Volume 5451 lbs (in 33 reps, avg 165 lbs)
Technically this is a deficit, as I am only using 35's as the biggest weight, whilst I wait on my 45's.

Deadlifts from Yesterday:

135lbs x 5
200lbs x 5
245lbs x 6(+10lbs)
245lbs x 6(+10lbs)
245lbs x 6(+10lbs)
245lbs x 6(+10lbs)

+10lbs for the work sets. Right now i only have 322.3lbs of weight(my 1rm), I will buy some more, but was thinking i will wait till i can do 4 x 6 with 280-300lbs which is still some time away, and then test my new 1rm.

My biggest weights are 55lbs(25kg), and i measured the diameter at about 16.5 inches, anyone know if this is making my dead easier?

I bet those plates are just standard size..

Todays AM workout:

BTN push press
95 x 5
135 x 2
185 x 1
225 x 1

Overhead Rack lockouts
140 x 5
180 x 5
230 x 3 (up 5lbs)
x3
x3
x3
x3

Face pulls

heavy x 12
x12
x12

Military Press
70lbs x 6
x6
x6
x4

Good workout, changed thigns around a bit due to a super crowded gym. I was really happy with the military presses actually, I think next week ill give the 75lbs dumbells for a ride, 2 months ago I could only push press the 75s for 3 reps.. now ill hit them for 6 reps, seated.
