I would think you would aim higher with the box squat, considering your deadlift strength.
Good luck!
Cause my squat Sucks! Im working on it. Im just so damn lanky

Great vids - makes me want to get a home gym even more....
yea i really enjoy the home gym. Most of the stuff was picked up cheap via yardsales. The only thing i actually brought was my texas power bar, and I only got that cause one of my other Olympic bars broke and i wanted a nice one that would last
Todays workout was mediocre. I had to do it later than I wanted to because of a family dinner, but I still got it in.
Box Squats
45x10
135x5
205x1
225x1
265x1
285x1 Surprisingly Easy
305x1 Belt On
335x0 Got about 2 inches of the box
335x0 Touch and go SOOOO CLOSSEEE 335x1 PR +20 lbs knee wraps on. Touch and go. Easy... I really wanted to get 335 and since i deload next week I said why not for the knee wraps. Might not have been the best idea but what the hell. I wanted 335 bad and didn't want to have to wait 2 weeks to try again. I need to stay tighter on the way down. Perhaps a higher box is in order. After studying the video. I feel like I may be droping and not under control the last couple of inches.
Speed Deadlifts 275x1 for 10 sets
AB CIRCUIT 16 reps each exercise 2 circuits
Sprinter Crunches
V-ups
Toe Touches
Hip thrusters
Some seriously nice workouts there Dman. I agree with Lost dog though regarding rocking off the back of the box. Would it help if the box were fixed to the floor in any way??
Also, with the weights you are now using is it not possible to get someone to spot you?
you make me nervous. Like you're going to rock of the back of that box...
I make myself nervous. No matter how far I put the box back I always walk back to far

The Box has a plate under it so it doesnt move anywhere. I had two workout partners but they went away for college. Im working on getting another one

one thing you might want to work on w/ the box issue, is move the box closer to the rack. then, work on arching the weight out of the rack, so you only have to take like 1 step back, and then squat. Your form looks a lot better this week than last.

Congrats on the PR, a 20 pound bump must feel good - it looked fairly strong too. You have been hitting a lot of PR lately, so adding 30 pounds to your bench, deadlift, and squat in the next 2 months is going to be tough - Good luck; we will be here pushing you along.
Agreed! Makes me nervous the way the crate rocks a bit ... might be good to build a more solid box (can't be too hard with some plywood and a shop teacher!!) and maybe mark the floor (with chalk or something) so you know how far to back up without backing up off the box ... that could be a devastating injury!!

My school doesn't have shop... but marking the floor is a good idea
And Thanks Greg Lance and Victoria for stopping by
Did some sled dragging and pushing. Back wards and forwards. about 90 lbs added to a tire. Then i did about 100 reps of banded good mornings with a #3 band and 2 #1 bands... I need to get stronger bands!
