like the dot drill kind of

you set 4 dots about 2 feet apart
1----2

4----3

and you got 1-2-3-4-1-4-3-2-1
and that is one rep

Hey. I liked EC's program when I did it. I learned a lot from it. Certainly got stronger on it. I don't know if I got springy-er or not.

don't worry man. i graduated high school weighing 155 at 6'3". Now, i'm around 230 at the same height. I know it's hard to bulk throughout high school at that age because your metabolism is so high. I actually gained all my weight AFTER i got out of high school and was able to eat more frequently between classes in college and such.

you will. A lot of people i know were the same way. skinny in high school, and then their metabolism slows down, or they stop doing as much activity, and they're able to put on weight a lot better.

yeah I was that kid. . . ate like complete shit in high school and still weighed like 140. my metabolism must still be pretty damn high because I'm still at 165-170 right now.

I think I need to go eat.

I've been checking out your training log and its impressive man, you're one strong dude. Thanks for checking mine out.

Enjoy your high metabolism while you can. You'll spend the SECOND half of your life complaining about how your metabolism sucks and you can't even LOOK at a slice of chocolate cake without putting on a pound of fat.

and i guess its a good think i dont like cake

Deadlift 45x5 135x5 225x3 295x1 365x1 415x1 465x0 465x0 465x0 445x0

Deadlifts were going well and 415 came up so easy I got ahead of myself and jumped to 465. Looking back i should have taken a smaller step. I got 465 off the ground which is usually enough for me to finish the pull, but the struggle to get it of the ground was to much. By the time i attempted 445 i was beat and couldn't even budge it. I'm one good day away from pulling 465... I want to hit 485 by November

Excellent job on the deads. I can relate. My biggest probelm is the initial pull. If I can get it off the floor, I can usually finish. It has to be frustrating to get it moving and not be able to complete the lift. But, I have a feeling we will be seeing that 485 soon.

everyone thanks for stopping by

Mahler after further review... i got the right side about 3 inches off the ground but the left side stayed pinned down... so I am right there. I CAN FEEL IT. I WILL GET IT!!!

Julie... I wrestle and play lacrosse.

I will be concentrating on my deads alternating my main exercise between deadlift singles, deadlift from deficit, and low box squats. Ill also be doing a lot of lower back work because that is defiantly my weak point

Great lifts! How much do you weigh? I don't remember you being really really big. That's some friggin crazy weight your pulling. Awesome.

If i were you, i would not pull as much. Start focusing on bringing up your squat. It looks like your front squat is 275, and your back squat is 265? I would bet you everything i had that if you're weak off the floor, and pull conventional, if you get these squats to over 300+ apiece, and pull something like once every other week (maybe for 3s or a top set of 5), you will pull 475+.

I used to do deficit pulls, and they worked ok, but the problem is that it puts you in a real awkward position, and you never are really in that position when you pull off the floor. Bringing up my squat has helped my pull more than anything else.

Just my 2 cents.

I was planing on deadlifting every other week and squating every week...
I front squat 275 and back squat around 245 (havnt squatted heavy in a while)

I weigh about 190-200
this sounds like a very good plan, and is similar to what i do, except i squat every week. So i usually do:

week 1:
day 1: overhead
day 3: squat
day 5: upper assistance

week 2:
day 1: squat
day 3: overhead
day 5: deadlift

this way, i get a good deal of rest between each session.

But i really do believe that if you focus your efforts on improving your squat, your pull will go up. ESPECIALLY if you're weak off the floor.
