Thanks for checking out my workout log and for the encouragement!

I'm still fairly new to the weight-lifting way of life, and it's great to get positive comments from someone who is obviously pretty successful with the whole program!

Thanks again and have a fantastic day!!

An I'm an old guy question: I was reading about high school wrestling and noticed a 160 lb weight class. This did not exist when I was a hs wrestler. I was in the 158 lb class I think. Maybe early Alzheimer's but does 158 lb class exist anymore?

1/18
Wrestling tournament started today. Won this one last year so I am expecting to make some noise
When I got home I ran through this circuit once. 12 reps on everything

Pull-up Retraction
Barbell Overhead Shrugs
Push-up Plus
Posterior Capsule Stretch
12/19
End of wrestling tournament. Ended up placing 2nd. Disappointed but I know what I need to work on

12/20

2 time through
Incline DB Retraction 45x12 45x12
Prone "Y's" 5x12
Prone Internal Rotations 5x12 5x12

Prone Y's where VERY difficult and hurt I didn't do them the second time. My shoulder is sore today

Hey, second is nothing to sneeze at. Congrats, Paul.

Keep taking care of that shoulder. If doing Ys continues to hurt, it's best to get it checked out.

AHaha whats even funnier is I went with like 6 wrestlers after a match so all of us ate over 20 pancakes. They must have been regretting the all you can eat pancake deal

This morning I had a short practice. Played soccer for like an hour then worked a lot of standing stuff. Then 10 mins of conditioning

Lifted later
Box Squats
45x10
135x5
225x3
295x3
345x3
395x1 This was suppose to be a triple instead it was a hard single

tried some light benching shoulder didn't want any of that so I stopped. I hate wrestling I loose like 20 lbs on all my lifts from inseason. I need to be more consistent with in season lifting. I was doing okay for a little but with exams and tournaments and all that it got hard and I stopped. Im going to get back into it and hopefully not loose any more strength and maybe even get that little I lost back

So wrestling is very depressing along with school. I am fighting to get through it but i cant take much longer. I have 33 days of wrestling left and school is just a joke now. Ive gotten into colleges have pretty much made my decision and just don't have any motivation to do anything. I just want to lift and lax. I can't wait for summer
