I think they need an editor/proof reader (or else there is more new that isn't public)

I guess Im just upset about this whole issue... Ive been a Louie disciple for many many years, and while I do understand he stands to make a ton of cash from this, its still pretty upsetting to see what would amount to a hero selling out...
I guess its more the fact that the godfather of powerlifting, and arguably the top PL coach of all time holding Crossfit seminars... Seminars to certify crossfitters as PL "experts"...
Again I have worlds of respect for Louie, his material was what got me hooked on this sport, and I do get the fact that this was about the cash but it still sucks.
He's just agreeing to run some 2-day clinics on learning the big lifts and critiquing technique/form on those lifts. Why not?
Or is something else involved?
I agree with you. He's not the one setting the the credentialization system. He's simply teaching the class. Who better to do it, especially when it was going to be him or someone else getting the money. I don't have an issue with it.

why is he selling out?
louie's system is always evolving, and he's always learning new things, and using new things. Look at his box squat. Years ago, they used to have their feet leave the ground.
Obviously, crossfit is kinda a joke... he's most likely not going to use anything from this system to get his lifters stronger, and he's probably doing it to make a quick buck. Can you blame him? There's not a lot of cash in powerlifting. You can only sell one too many overpriced reverse hypers.
Whenever you put someone up to a "hero" pedestal, you're going to be sorely disappointed. The guy still puts out good information, but IMO, people get too drawn in with the WESTSIDE 4 LIFE mentality, and forget that he's gotta make a living just like everyone else.
Everyone has their price.

There was some little blow up some time back when Tate was criticizing the thruster technique of some @fit stars, and saying it's a crap movement.
Guess the pyramid scheme $$ wasn't good enough for him to hold off on saying the obvious.

This is exactly why this is upsetting. Some CF'er w/2 days of exposure to PLing will be "certified" & spewing how to set your shoulders on the BP to some unsuspecting novice.
Soon all CF locations though will have Reverse Hypers & SS Bars . So good on you Louie I guess, make some cash while you can....that is until you disagree with CF.
How long Louie stays connected with these drones is really the question.
If it gets more people involved in powerlifting that wouldn't try it in the first place, great.
I have a bad feeling that louies methods are going to be misinterpreted and I am going to see beginners doing SSB squats with 300lbs of tension for a max single (with 0 bar weight).. supersetted with one of those seizure pullups and a rope climb all supposed to be done in 40 seconds.
