Default Development Of Absolute Strength

I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some information or direction rather, on how I should go about training to increase my absolute strength, or the maximum amount of strength/muscular tension/force (whatever you want to call it) that my body can generate in one all out effort.

Also, I think it's relevant to add that I am already on a program to develop muscular hypertrophy (bodybuilding style) and I was wondering What is the best way of integrating both training styles into one regimen?, if that is at all possible. The problem is that I have always been a little, ok I admit, more then a little confused as to how Oly lifters, Power lifters and the like actually train. That is to say I've watched the olympics and strongmen competitions but what goes on behind closed doors seem to a highly guarded secret. I'd ask people at my local gym only they don't know Poliquin from poultry and which is understandable as most of them are bodybuilders anyway.

Any help (educated help that is) would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to post anything you feel relevant to my situation.

Thankyou

Just so you know, we have a section of training logs devoted to Oly Lifters, Powerlifters, and Strongmen. These logs detail exactly what "goes on behind closed doors." It might be worth reading a few of the training logs!

To get started, I recommend reading some articles at:

http://www.elitefts.com

There are very few training secrets out there, I would say if someone claims to have a "training secret" you most likely shouldn't listen to them.
