Di and I had our strongman comp, a dead-log contest, over the weekend. Events were log clean & press 1RM, deadlift 1RM, log max reps, deadlift max reps.
I had to bail on the log since I was having all kinds of issues with the overhead, so I just took a token 70kg on that, but I did a fairly easy 230 DL and knocked out 17 reps with 160 at a BW of 89.9 (best max DL in the novice class and also lowest BW). Wasn't expecting too much after 12 weeks of dieting, but I'm not displeased.
Di however completely smashed it. She got a 65kg log 1RM, 175 DL, got 180 to the knees but lost it due to a bad start, then hit 40kg x17 on the log and 90kg x30 on the DL.
She was pleased

but seriously, it looks like an 8" log. They're a pain to clean.
Thats cuz youre on youre way to weighing just as much as the log.
