Finding a Coach

Hi,

I'd like to start working with an olympic lifting coach. I have a list of people in my area from the USAW. For those who have worked with coaches: what is a typical arrangement? How often do you meet? What does your trainer charge? What has been helpful/unhelpful? etc. I just want to know what I'm getting myself into.

I think it really depends on the coach. It varies from person to person and from location to location. Just like anything.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I was just curious to hear what people's experiences had been, so my question is a bit vague. I will have to drive a ways to work with someone, so I will be doing a lot on my own. I'm not sure how realistic that is.
