Default Olympic Lifting Demo Vids

These have been a long time in the making, but here are some demo vids for the snatch and jerk that I made to address some of the most common issues I see with beginner and intermediate lifters. I havent done Clean vids yet and am working on that since most of the pulling content was covered in the snatch vids, but we'll see.

Before watching them, note the Disclaimer and notes on each vid. The disclaimer itself is especially important, especially if you plan to share these videos with other forums:

Quote:
DISCLAIMER: This is part of a series of drills to help troubleshoot some popular beginner mistakes in the snatch. The approach used is based on my synthesis from various coaches Ive worked with or read about. This video and the series is NOT meant to be an all encompassing layout of the olympic lifts, its just an evolving teaching tool and I may do more vids as ideas come to me or if there are any requests. Again, there are many combo movements and other movements that I did not cover for now.

THIS IS ONLY ONE WAY OF DOING THINGS AND THERE ARE MANY WHO DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS TYPE OF APPROACH AND HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL WITH OTHER METHODS, SO DO EXPERIMENT AND DO STILL WORK WITH A QUALIFIED COACH THAT ADDRESSES YOUR NEEDS.

Also, special thanks to Matt Gary for videotaping and narrating the content. If you want more information on coaching 1-1, e-coaching, or coaching troubleshooting seminars, please send a PM here or via youtube, or go to the coaches section at:

I have to say that Manuel has been instrumental in helping me address some of the problem areas in my lifts. He has an amazing ability identify weaknesses while also constructively communicating cues to fix the problems. His instruction really resonates with me. There aren't many people who can do that. When I have more time I will post some "before" and "after" examples to show how much improvement I've gotten from working with him over the past several months.

I know this sounds all cheesy and testimonial-ish, but I have really shown great improvement in performance. Thanks for putting together these vids Manny! You are teh awsum!

I've only watched the jerk videos so far, but I must say that they're very useful. I'll be sure to check out the rest in the future.
