I like Dave's realistic keys to upping your bench max quickly - get fat, take a bunch of drugs, and buy a bench shirt. I can't do the first, am scared to do the second, and won't do the third. I'm screwed.

dmw, lots of people have the same problem as you, especially males around 20 years of age. to go from 180-240lbs i had to eat more food then i ever thought possible
i explained my diet to a real fat powerlifter once and he called me insane, thats saying something hah.

I've gone from 160 to 219. But it took 5 years. And I did it in my 30's. I wish to god I had the discipline I have now in my younger days, I would have done it then. Oh well, better late than never. And yes, it takes bunches of food. I literallly had to increase my ability to eat food, just like lifting more weight.
