Uesaka has really nice plates, but the bar is definitely an acquired taste. Its much rougher than eleiko or werksan and the bar is harder so you have less whip to it. None of these qualities are bad per se, but I prefer a smoother whippy bar so I go with werksan.

Now that you mention it Manny yeah the bars are stiff. Though it
s funny I always thought the bars are pretty smooth - never have tried eleiko bars so don't have much to compare with.

I'll call Tina beforehand to make sure she has her hearing aid in.

Do not use a bar jack on a nice olympic bar... it will ruin the knurling.
