Default Dr. Ken Kinakin Interview - Optimal Muscle Training (Author)

If you haven't checked out "Optimal Muscle Training" yet, it was probably the first book I found that addressed muscular weaknesses and how to' fix" them. Although, I wouldn't call it a "corrective exercise" book, it is geared more towards the bodybuilding crowd--so alot of the assessments deal with weakness solely, and not under-active or over-active (tight) muscles.

I interviewed the author, Dr. Ken Kinakin--who people really don't know too much about. He founded SWIS and resides in Canada. This interview is to pretty much introduce him. Read it here.

I'll check it out! I actually attended the very first SWIS conference in Toronto. They put out some decent stuff over the years. I was luke-warm on the book/DVD. I prefered Cook's and Boyles stuff, although as you said Kinikin's was a slightly different angle. I actually still use a couple of the assessments in my repetoire with clients.

The SWIS conference brought some great minds together. I liked that it didn't have too much of a chiropractic slant, as I'm leary of the profession as a whole.
