Chad Waterbury's new site is up, so for the first time you can link directly to the book to make a purchase.

Good looking site. I love that picture of Chad!
I'm so glad he didn't go with the white background, screaming red text, and testimonial style sales websites that seem to be so popular in the fitness industry.

Yep. Best read for 2006 and amongst my top 5 training books of all time. I would think that his programs inside would have lasted me several years. I am on one right now.
We just don't see enough photos of him. That one on his new website makes me wonder why he even needs other models to demonstrate the exercise descriptions in the book when he himself would have been the best choice.

Yeah, when we first started working on it I thought he'd do his own exercises as well. The last time I saw him, at Staley's boot camp last October, he was in fantastic shape, bigger and leaner than he was at JP's two years ago.
Now, I don't mean to speak for Chad (I'm sure he'd be happy to answer the question himself), but I think he made a good choice.
It's risky for coaches to present themselves as both the originator and product of their own workouts. It sends a different message -- "Do what I recommend because it works for me," vs. "Do what I recommend because it's worked for thousands of guys."
I've never been in his position, since I don't design workouts, but I've been around a lot of people in his position when I've worked with them on books and articles. And I have to say that things work better when the expert is the expert and the model is the model. It seems to send the best message to readers.

Thanks everyone for your comments about my new site, and Muscle Revolution.
As Lou can attest to, that book was a long labor of love. We put A LOT of time into the writing and overall quality of that book. So it's great to hear that people appreciate the extra mile we took.
As for using myself as a model, Lou pretty much summed up my position. You see, there's a real dichotomy that goes on with fitness coaches. There are quite a few top coaches out there don't have a physique that turns heads, but at the same time, these coaches know their stuff. I would much rather see what a coach can do to transform a diverse group of clients, compared to what he can only do with his own physique. Put simply, some coaches have no desire to get big and ripped, and that's fine.
I've never been one who wanted to "advertise" my own physique because I'm not sure it's relevant, and I've never really felt comfortable doing it. I don't like the fact that some coaches merely rip up, post their picture, and then triple their clientele. But the fact of the matter is, a coach's physique is indeed relevant to some. I decided to go with a shirtless picture on my new website because I think the pose we chose is kinda novel, and it doesn't scream "oiled-up, biceps pose in a speedo."

I think that'll be one of the "breakout sessions" at JP's Summit.
