For the most part there have not been a lot of ups and downs. My traffic has been pretty consistent over the last couple of years. That means I have all of you to thank for choosing my little nook in the vast land of the internet to hang out and talk fitness (and everything else!). I appreciate all of you very much. He kicked TS off at that time and we lost all of his hits. But then, in JPs wisdom, that kept more people here and it went up even more after that when people heard the troll was no longer under the bridge. Thanks JP!
Looking at the long term graphs, which show a couple of dips like that, each appearing to be a single incident (hard to tell, though, without the raw data), it is possible that on those days, some crazy newsworthy event was causing multiple hits to other sites, and our site remained stable in number, therefore dropping it precipitously in ranking for those days.
Or perhaps JPs server was down for a portion of those days (not sure if that would make a difference in the Alexa rankings though - depends on their methodology).
There are a lot of other possibilities for those dips that pop up in my mind, but these seem the most plausible.
PS: Can you tell I have degrees in Economics and Statistics? Good investigations and mysteries thrill me.

Yeah, you have it all wrong. The vertical axis is ranking by hits (in other words, the #1 website would have the most hits, but the lowest numerical ranking, which is why the axis is decreasing as you go up). The higher up you go, the higher ranked you are. Would you rather have a ranking of #1 or #100,000?

What do you mean, "kick into"? Post whore!
As far as TS is concerned, he was banned. I had planned on it being permanent, but we have actually been speaking via telephone recently to clear up some of the issues that got him banned, and I may allow him access once we come to a clear understanding of forum decorum. Now that I know the "real" TS and not some enigmatic troll I think that he will be less likely to stir shit up. If I do bring him back, he will undoubtedly know that my finger is twitching and hovering right above the "delete" button, so that should be incentive to keep things friendly.
