Talking

Time to update this old thread. Here are some photos of my precious little princess last weekend before going out with her mom to a wedding/reception. I can't believe my little girl has grown up and looks so skinny and pretty and mature. Not my fat-cheeked, short-haired little baby anymore.

Here are a couple from the 4th of July. Our neigborhood has a big party and we all ride in a parade. Lot's of fun! The second photo is my three kids with a little girl (second from right) who lives next door.

I'll do two posts -- one for my son Jack who turned six weeks old today, and one for my daughter Samantha (2 and a half, going on 17).

Jack three days old:

Sleepy Jack with his proud big sister:

Now for Samantha, who is becoming quite the helper in the kitchen. She likes to put on big oven mitts, then tells me that she's going to cook me some chicken. She also likes to do dishes:

Red, that little girl is a cutie! They are especially precious when they love on their little siblings, aren't they?

DeBatista, went to the rest of the site, eh? Yeah, I'm quite the cake decorator. I need to put up the rest of my cake photos. It does work the forearms too. I can only guess that you have too since you mentioned it.

Gobbla,
Looks like you have a little cake decorator yourself! A real pro too.

That's a little cutie. She looks like she gets just a little attention here an there too.

I bow before your cake decorating skills! Mommy's lack of planning left Daddy 2 hours to bake and decorate a cake. It came out really simular to something from Dr. Suess, sad, very sad. Rhalynn didn't seem to mind though.

Everyones kids are stunning. It's amazing how the cutiest kids come from such homely parents!!

I had to finish another real quick...I threw that bottle away and she cried, oh god she cried. What started off as a mild amusement quickly turned sour.

That's too funny. I'll have to go home and dig up a picture from a 4th of July party we had a couple of years ago. 10 adults drinking beer on the deck, and more than a few kids playing in the empties. I've got a picture of a friends' little one doing the same thing as Rhalynn and we threatened to send it out as a christmas card. Too cute.

I was going to wait until I had some individual pictures since the professional ones can't be copied and pasted but I couldn't resist. This is an online album of The Mustangs trip to the USSSA 8 under World Series. Of course all the pictures in this album are of my baby but...the team did okay, they ended up after starting the series as #1 to take only 8th place but just to go was a treat (isn't that what oscar losers always say?) And they will always be State Champs!USSSA World Series

Gobbla, the tough part is how can you tell that a toddler is drunk?

Slurring words? Lack of balance? Outrageous behavior? This is their life 24/7.

Maybe now I understand why people get drunk... it's to revisit their childhood?

Good call! It's the "Summer Lager", one of my more favorite "OMG it's freaking hot outside" lagers.

It's practically impossible to catch her with her eyes open with the camera flash, gives the picture a little more flavor.

Nice pic, Ryan. His expression is like "Whoa, Cuz, you can do THAT on a waterslide???"

One of mine too, gobbla. Sam Adams makes some fine brews. I still have some "Winter Lager" in the fridge. Just waiting for it to get cold again.

ODB's girl -

I love the play-by-play photos of her. I hope she is still really proud of herself for getting as far as the team did.

I was wondering how things went but didn't see the follow up post.

Thanks Erika. I actually purchased a poster with some of those photos on it to remember the experience. I didn't post a follow up. McKenna played well, batted at least a single at every up at bat, made a couple of beautiful plays at home playing catcher but alas...not everyone had their best games and the girls fell from #1 seed to end up #8 before being knocked out. The experience was good though, they quickly forgot the loss as young ones do. They had a great season. We went to Chattanooga and stayed the night so we could spend a day at the new aquarium there. Since most people looking at this either have kids of their own or at least have kids in their lives I will put my plug for Chattanooga as a family destination. We had a GREAT time there. The aquarium was wonderful (and I mean worth the drive just for that!), we went to the IMAX across the street and watched the sunset at Lookout Mtn. There is so much to do outdoors as well as the new area along the river with the aquarium, imax and kids discovery museum. No I am not getting a kickback from the COC in Chattanooga but maybe I should be.
