I'm not big on reality shows but I watch Biggest Loser from time-to-time. I watched it last night and found it motivational, although the production was a bit cheesey at times. Last night they had two engaged couples competing with each other. One guy lost 30 lbs in two weeks.
I'm struck by the emotion of the players on the show. Having never been obese, I can't appreciate the emotional connection with being heavy. I was once very skinny but that does not have the same stigma as being very overweight.
I like Jillian as a trainer. She's tough. I like that.
Anyway, I work at home so that's my water cooler moment for the day.
I didn't see last nights show, but we have been watching the show in general when we see it on.
I like it. As you say it is a bit cheesy, but it can't be all about the fitness stuff or they would have to move it over to fit tv! =-)
It's good to see a show that stresses eating non processed foods and excercise.

I have watched this show. But frankly the amount the draw out each episode...with commericals has driven me away from it. At one point they were managing to pack 1/2 hour broadcast, or so it seemed to me anyhow, into a 1 1/2 hour time slot. I got better things to do.

oh yeah, and I'll tell you this - My wife, who really is not an exerciser, has been motivated by that show. When it's on, she's on the treadmill watching. And she's finally taking some tips from me on how to get fitter.
