Whew - We survived driving the L.A. freeways, walkingh Disney 'till my feet and back hurt. (note to self "never do Disney in one day during the Holidays)
Vegas at New Years was bonkers....I have never seen so many people walking nowhere before. Fireworks were amazing. Weather sucked damn California storm.
the quick list:
up $30 on the slots
found $1 beers on the strip (Casino Royale)
renewed my vows with my wife
drank too much on New Year's Eve
fought the flu
Cirque de Soliel - Mystere show (1/2 price)
most of the free shows on the strip.
We got the Cirque tix by going on a time share thingy...it was worth the two hours of say "thats nice but No"
All in all it was a fun trip...our friends who have done this before had us running a little too much for our liking but they wanted to show us every thing.
I went to Disneyland in Cali around Christmas a few years back. I felt like screaming, "If you people weren't so goddamn fat there'd be a lot more room in this park!"

The Strip was very safe...there was a significant show of Las Vegas' finest...they even posed for pics with my friend in a mock arrest pose. It was good fun too bad the weather felt more like late fall up here.

Vegas is fun. My wife is dying whenever she sees commercials for Vegas. Talk about getting your exercise, walking from the MGM to TI is about 1.5 hours.
factor in carrying the ten lbs of dollar beers and pushing peopel out of the way it could be a really good workout.
We stayed at the Flamingo so TI wasn,t that bad...we made the trip out to Circus Circus a couple times (that's where we got re-married)now that seems to take forever. We were between the Stardust and CC to ring in the New Year and made our way back through what seemed like 18.5 million people....not sure what the estimate was but it was nuts.
If I go back it will be when the weather is warmer so I can chill by the pool. Next stop on the vaction tours will need to include some sand and beach.

We stayed at the Flamingo the second time, the first was at the San Remo which is now the Hooters hotel and casino. Good thing I am not a drinker as the only drink I had was at Ceasar's and it was Jager.
ahhhh Vegas. My dad lived there in the 80's, and I flew out at least twice a year. It was a cheap trip back then from the East Coast, not too bad now either, compared with other destinations. You did it right too TMan. See some sights, gamble, catch a show or 2, and get some food. good time
Nope no tattoos....didn't even get close to The Palms to visit Hart & Huntington. My wife doesn't want to get one until her Grandmother passes...out of respect for her staunch stand against any form of body art.
