Hey Guys,
I have a new computer, but the old one has some good stuff on it that i want to transfer to this one. A while back I managed to copy all of my music onto the jump drive and then load it onto the new computer. Now I need to copy some pictures and load them onto the new computer so I can burn cds of them. I copied all of the pics I want to one file, then plugged in the jupm drive. I right clicked on the icon and clicked "send to" and i got different things to choose from, one of which being an E:Sony Memory Stik choice. Figuring that might be it I tried that but it said that I don't have one. (The jump drive is a lexar) I plugged the jump drive into the new machine and checked to make sure A. that it worked (it does- it comes up as F:public) and B. that I had cleared it off of the music thinking that maybe it was full (it was empty).
A friend suggested plugging the jump drive into the old computer and shutting down, then restarting the machine. Maybe then it would recognize it. No luck. It still won't work.
When plugged into the old machine the light blinks SOMETIMES - like if i hold it in there, and when I first plug it in. I even tried different USB ports and it won't work.
Any suggestions? (I can't burn cds on the old computer or I'd just do that)

Thanks guys!!

gina try using a different usb port... sounds like the one that you are using is loose or not functioning right.

Did you think of emailing your old photos to yourself and then loading them onto your comp that way. Or you can post them onto a free based site such as www.imageshack.us

My computer doesnt have an A drive so i dont know what i could tell ya. All i use are jump drives and CD's for pictures.

Id say switch towers and load your pics on the net. If you have no other choice but that can help you save them and may take some time..

Oh yes usually when i want to save pics from my comp to my jumpdrive i open the file and do a save as and load it onto my E: Jumpdrive and it automatically saves it there.

Good luck
