So I guess the question is;

Is it really a planet or is it an object from the Kuiper belt? Some people even think Pluto is an object from the Kuiper belt. This 'new planet' is 3 times as far from the sun as Pluto is.

I guess it would be easier to determine if there was a definition for the word planet. That's what's going to make for so much debate any time anything is found that closely resembles anything nearly as large as Pluto.

Perhaps they should have thought of what defines a planet when the first planets were discovered.

Which side do you stand on Og? Do you think it's a planet?

This isn't a new idea. Maybe this is another explanation!
