Are you ready for some football!!! Just started this to see how all the pigskin fans are feeling about this years season. Sadly my green bay packers arent looking to good even thou ol' Bret is staying around. My picks for the Bowl this year are Vikings Vs Ravens.

The only bad thing about football season starting up is that it means summer is winding down and I don't want to contemplate that quite yet!
I really am looking forward to a hopefully good season for the Vikes. As long as the Pack has Fav-re I wouldn't count them out. I think he could beat some teams all by himself. It will be a national holiday in my home the day he hangs up the cleats!!

I don't see the Vikings doing anything big this season. Although they did have a really good offseason, the NFC North is going to be a hard division to win. The Bears are a very underrated team, they had a lot of major injuries to their big players (Urlacher, m. Brown, Grossman, Tillman) and have had a good offseason (Muhammad & Benson). Also Nathan Vasher has had a good couple of camps and should be their #2 which is good news for their D. The Lions loaded up this offseason with the pickups of M. Williams, K. Kennedy, and M. Pollard, but this is going to be a make or break year for Joey. C. Rogers apparently bulked up about 20 lbs during his time off and has a plate put over his collarbone, so hopefully he plays the full year (still haven't seen him play to his potential. The Pack don't have much hope especially with such a weak looking D, but you never know with Brett around....The rest of the NFC looks pretty much the same...look for the Falcons and Eagles to make runs at the NFC Championship. With TO saying he's going to show up for the Eagles now, you can never count them out.

For the AFC you've gotta like the defending champion Patiots, eventhough they let go of LAw and Bruschii is out for the season (recovering from his stroke). Maybe this will finally be Payton's year to take his team to the big one...

(You also have to remember there's still a ton of GOOD free agents out there.)

I think the Vikings will win the North. Although, the loss of Moss and Onterrio Smith may hurt them more than you'd think.

Wait a minute... maybe it IS the Lions year. I hope that Joey H. steps it up, but if he struggles, Garcia should be able to do an adequate job. Other than that, this is a young team loaded with talented rising stars.

Man, the anticipation of July sure creates some optimism!

I can't wait.

The Lions do have a shot this year. With weak(ening) Vikings and Packers teams (Chicago isn't likely to be a contender despite the addition of Muhsin Muhammad), if Harrington and Jones step up and Mike Williams signs, it's possible. Of course, it's also possible that T.O. will show up on-time to training camp
