I didn't deem this worth of the training forum, although it is somewhat related.

I'm studying for my CPT right now, and discovered a personal training class being offered at a local community college. The instructor is a CSCS, so I think that bodes well. My question is, has anyone taken anything similar to this course, and if so, what did you think. They say you take a certfication exam at the end, but I have never heard of the organization. So essentially I'd be taking it for the content, and taking another test. I just don't want to get into anything that is worthless. Just wanted to see if anyone has done anything similar and what you thought. Thanks in advance.

Eric

I'm still studying for that as well, I just haven't had the time to committ to studying for that quite yet. I am going to be making a career change this summer to allow me more time to study and go back to school, so I wanted to go ahead and get certified somehow.

The thing I liked about this is that it would force me to study about 6 hours a week (the class is on Sunday from 9am to 4pm). I think I might save the money and go to the library....
