For those who can, tune into Channel 11 Today's THV at noon on Wednesday, June 8. I'm going to be interviewed on live TV (YIKES ) on their noon show. I sit on the board (actually, I'm the Treasurer) of the Old State House Museum 1836 Club and we're having our annual signature event on Saturday, June 11 -- Happy 169th Birthday, Arkansas! If you're local and want to come out and enjoy the front lawn of the oldest surviving state capitol west of the Mississippi, please come join us at 300 W. Markham from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm. We'll have food from Backyard Burgers, birthday cake, games for the kiddies, adult beverages for the rest of us, entertainment provided by Radio Disney, face painting, a magician, and a silent auction. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children 3 and over -- beer is extra....SORRY.....Anyway, a portion of the proceeds will go to support the museum's upcoming exhibit "Try Us: Arkansas & the US-Mexican War".
Come help support the wonderful organization of The Old State House!
Oh, and don't forget to tune into KTHV Channel 11 around noon on Wednesday. At least you'll be able to see me make a complete fool of myself on regional television!!! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Yeah, I'm actually pretty psyched about both! Since I'm Treasurer, I get relegated to taking the admissions and filling helium balloons.
