While I don't know your exact situation- kids, family, set hours with the new job- I would recommend getting to the the gym as early as possible. That way, if anything comes up during the day you will have already lifted and won't have an excuse not to go to the gym. I worked a construction job that had different hours from day to day. I'm talking driving 3 hours to a job to be there by 8am, working all day, driving back at midnight, then going to work at say 3pm the next day. It was kind of a sadistic swing-shift. I did this for almost four years. I just had to be really careful with eating(not easy to do eating out and at gas stations) and when I lifted I followed a total body workout plan.
However, I have seen some incredible changes in just one month since I quit that job and went back to school. I'm able to eat better at the right time and haven't missed a single workout.
best of luck.

p.s. Always have some healthy portable snacks with you like nuts or jerky etc.
