Unhappy

Hey Guys...
The other day during my kickboxing class after hitting around on the bags, I was working on sit ups. My trainer has me do reps of 20, then 25, and 30... then crunches 20, 25, and 30.. then leg lifts.. 20, 25, and 30. All of a sudden I felt light headed and "got sick" right there in the gym. How embarrassing!! I don't know why it happened, any one know?

How was your diet that day? Sometimes that light-headed and sick feeling seems to come along with trying to do intense workouts while doing the low carb diet thing.

My diet that day was at the top of its game... perfect balance. But I don't know if it is a "girlie" thing or what but I had like cramps kinda intense for a few moments off and on, during and after the "getting sick" part.

For me, dizziness and nausea come from lack of oxygen, like when doing 20-rep squats, etc. That many abdomen contractions may have left you oxygen deficient, which makes your brain go a little nutty, and when you're head spins, your stomach responds...

It hurt, I thought I was dieing! The contractions were very severe. I never had my stomach respond like that, ever! Usually I can feel it coming on, but this was just like... bam.

It sounds like you just pushed really hard, happens to all of us occassionally (not sure of the physiological reasons why). In a lot of sports its seen as a positive that you could push yourself that hard.

Dont be humiliated, if anyone says something just point out that they obvious cant hack pushing themselves as hard in the class as you can.

Then grunt a bit and call them girly men (or girly girls as the case may be) .

HAHA! thanks Ben.

I guess I never thought about it that way!
I thought maybe something was wrong with me. I have been pushing it hard this week. Thanks for the feed back. LOL will keep your last statement in mind "just in case"
