There's an interesting interview with a bald, middle-aged guy at T-nation:

Lou, Great interview. It's nice to see you over at T-nation.

I liked these comments...

"I started lifting when I was 13, and even though I had no idea what I was doing, I was able to put on enough muscle to at least feel better about myself–as long as I was doing something about it, I could deal with sucking."

"T-Nation: Lou, how'd you get into the fitness journalism biz as opposed to, say, the lingerie model journalism biz?

Lou Schuler: I couldn’t get a job waiting tables!"

"My training week is based on Westside ideas right now, primarily from Dave Tate’s "8 Keys" series here in T-Nation. Max-effort bench, max-effort squat, dynamic-effort bench, dynamic-effort squat. (By the way, I want to throw a shout-out here to my friend Craig Ballantyne, who turned me on to Westside workouts more than three years ago.)"

Amen to that...

Good interview. Also I liked how you took the high road on talking about MH. Kinda figured you would have made fun of them a bit more from the couple of setups the interviewer gave you.

Lou, great interview. You know I bug you about the 'inside story' at the fitness mags, and this interview contained a lot of gems.

Also: hey Johnka! your stock just went up again....more PR since Lou mentioned you in the interview. Pretty soon you're going to be Berardi's annointed rep to T-Mag... oops, sorry, T-Nation.

Jeez....a guy who advocates learning about fitness actually being excited about continuing to learn about fitness....and you think leading by example doesn't work. Great interview, Lou. You know, for an older guy.
