Hey, what does everybody think about the idea of JP getting some "JPFitness forum" t-shirts? Oh JP?????????? What do you think? I saw another forum site doing it click me and since I KNOW we're the best fitness site on the net, we should definitely have some. Hell, I'd order up a couple right from the start.

Now, we'd have to have some kind of a cool saying on the front and then JP's logo on the back.

Let's see.... any ideas???

"I go ass to grass" then showing a drawing of someone doing squats.

"I built this body with help from... JPfitness" and showing JP's logo.

"Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym" of course we'd have to credit this saying to the one that originally uttered it.... was it Johnka???

I'm sure some of the rest of you have got some great ideas????

Whaddya think JP?????

Cool idea, GR. Perhaps JP should hire you into his marketing dept ...

JP - I can show you a way to start doing this at no cost to you. You don't make much from the shirts but it's not time consuming and gets people out their wearing your logo. PM me.

JP makes T-shirts that he sells at his gym i believe. There's been a few threads in the past asking about the same thing.

EDIT: yea JP PM Joe so we can get those shirts out on the street

Hahahaha. I have a great idea: the fitness t-shirts do already exist. A lot of us have them. You need to come to a retreat to get one, however. I'm sure someone will post a pic of theirs now. And the saying is 'No Curling in the Squat Rack' in big red letters on the back.

PS: Gymrat, before your next great idea, there's already is a kick ass way to search the content on the web. It's called 'Google'. J/K!

PPS: JP, what have I been telling you for a year now about marketing opportunities?

Kaiser, I'll be sure and check the search before I post anything anymore. Oh shit! I'll bet someone has already said that before and here I go posting it again.

I was kind of more meaning t-shirts that were specific to JPFitness FORUMS. I figured JP had t-shirts for his actual gym but it was just an idea.
Ah well.... no big deal. I sure wouldnt mind one of those "no curling in the squat rack" t's though. I'm going to try to be at the next retreat so maybe then I'll get one.

*edit* kaiser, I just re-read my post and my first para to you sounded like I was pissed. Didnt mean it that way. I know you were mess'n with me.

Was just giving you crap GR. I think it's a great idea - I've bugged JP before about marketing his name and site here on the forum, but he has been loathe to make it more commercial. Maybe if he sees more clamor for it, he will.

How about 'JPFitness forum is like crack! It's addicting and you'll lose fat using it!' LOL

What about for those of us that aren't ALLOWED at the retreat (And, yes, I will continue to bring it up until females are allowed. Doesn't my posting record count for anything? )

I think it would be cool to be wearing one and have someone come up and introduce themselves as a fellow forum member or ask you what this JP thing is all about ...

Erika - you gotta give JP a nudge and get him to read this. He's got a lot of folks look'n to advertise "The best damn fitness forum" on the net.
And we'd be paying him to do it.

We could get them personalized with our member numbers on them!

I was going to say post counts, but that would change rather quickly.....

Can I get "post whore" on mine?

Between the shirts and the DVD's we could have a whole new revenue stream for JP. Ericka. It feels like you could have some nice under the table money coming your way.

Al-riiiight... I hear you guys. Sheesh!

I really have had every intention of doing shirts, and I love the idea of personalizing them. I have also meant to finish the DVD. I am just overwhelmed at work these days. I am so buried under a pile of work that was due last month that I can't get ahead enough to execute any plans like this.

I do have a T-shirt company that makes my shirts, and it wouldn't be hard to set up a drop ship arrangement with them so that they could keep a certain number of shirts in stock, and once they get an email order in from me, they simply print it and ship it.

The only caveat is the expense of changing screens. If I make 1000 shirts, I pay a set up fee for any screens and color changes, so that is why it is more cost effective to buy them in bulk. Screening is cheaper if I do bulk, but rather expensive to do a screen change for just a few shirts. So the back of each shirt would essentially be an additional $15 screen change since they would be personalized. That makes a $15 tee shirt suddenly $30, not including any kind of profit margin.

Embroidery is expensive for shirts in bulk, but cheaper to do on individualized stuff, but I don't think that would look good on a tee shirt.

I will make a call tomorrow to explore the possibilities, and see if I can get some sort of special rate for JP Fitness forum members.
