Some thoughts: it seems that technology is increasingly being used to reduce human contact and interaction. We see this in kids who would rather sit in front of a screen than play outside with other kids; with "Friends' on TV taking the place of real friends, and (no offense to all of my compadres here), with virtual interaction taking the place of real. On-line shopping, virtual reality, all of this technology seems to have the effect of placing us on our asses more and getting us out and about less. (And ranting in cyberspace instead of to real people!

)
Anybody else have this same feeling?
My personal pet peeve: the family meal has completely gone by the wayside in many households today. It is one of the few times where families can connect, and it is being usurped by overly busy schedules and TV.
OK, I'm done ranting to the faceless hordes in cyberspace now.
