Hiring a cleaning person....

A little help? We are finally doing it. My wife and I have decided to hire a cleaning person. What kind of questions do I need to ask? What needs to be covered? Any warnings, advice, horrors, or stories involving French Maid Outfits would be much appreciated....

Do you have any friends who can have a cleaning person who wishes to add another customer? This might be a good way to find someone reliable.

My brother and sister-in-law hired a service and one o the cleaners stole her engagement ring. The service was bonded, I believe, and my brother was able to recover the money. He wanted to use it to buy a flat screen TV. My sister-in-law didn't like that idea [img]tongue.gif[/img]

A reference from a friend on a reliable cleaner who has been doing their home for a number of years without incident is the way to go.

We have these Polish ladies (girls?) who clean our house every 2 weeks; they do a decent job and are honest. No French maids outfits, but I try to keep my eyes averted as they are young, thin, wearing tight jeans, and with great smiles. I try to avert my eyes, lest my mid run wild.
