This really sucks. i want my dogs back.
the pound is closed till tuesday considering its a holiday so i wont know if someone turned them in or is going to.
they where in the backyard. I have a pad lock on the gate, but we dont ever lock it. We just put it there to scare off someone who would want to go back there. Which i dont know why they would want to go back there anyway nakita is over 95lbsand she is a pit bull and athena is a boxer pit mix shes about 50 lbs now. maybe a bit over. Both are nice dogs but Nakita will bite someone if she doesnt know you. She is and trained her to be a gaurd dog.
This sucks soo bad i hope i find her. We heard nakita barking last night, but didnt think anything of it because some times she will go after a squirel and get it.
still no luck. I made flyers and posted about 150 of em all around the neighboorhood about 8 blocks are covered. My friends helped me post em. Every post in that area is slammed with my sign and we knocked on every door and gave a flyer to every home. i think imma go to walmart tomorrow and hand out some more flyers. I posted them at parks on stop signs rail road crossings apartment signs every where looks like a blizzard. i really want my dogs back.

Were they microchipped and registered by any chance? If so, might contact the monitoring company to see if they can do anything.

Wait Wait Wait! You can get a dog "microchipped"? What exactly does this microchip do? I'm sorry I don't have a dog, but I'd like one and would like to know exactly what this is... (Sorry for hi-jacking your thread Cherra).
Absolutely terrible. I would be devistated if someone took my dog. I pray that they return home soon.
SB-No lojack capabilities. Vets and shelters have a scanner that will read the chip that pulls up an ID number. They then put that number into a database to look up the owners info.
Thanks you guys still no answer i left a flyer under the shelters doors since they were closed for 3 days because of holiday. So i went by there this morning and still no respond. I dropped the flyers off in the 3 surrounding cities hoping maybe just incase if they do get that far or someone picks them up i might have a chance.
Only one phone call saying they saw them crossing through a no trespassing zone over by the rail road tracks
Location: Philly on one side, Pittsburgh on another, the Green Between...

Not to be the voice of doom, but dognappers are everywhere, especially in urban areas, where they use them to train pit fighters. My sister-in-law has had to scare potential dog nappers away from a neighbors dog before.
I am sooooo sorry for your loss, if your pups are indeed lost.
