Got any song lines that stick out??
I have a few.Though I listen to mainly classic rock/rock, I like all types of music. here are a few to start. Please add you own!

"God have mercy on the man who doubts what he's sure of" Bruce Springsteen. "Brilliant Disguise"

"She had nothing left to say, so she said she loved me. And I stood there, grateful for the lie"
Gin Blossoms-Lost Horizons

"Whiskey Bottles, brand new car. Oak tree, you're in my way" That Smell- Lynard Skynard

"Remember what the Doormouse said. 'Feed You're Head'" White Rabbit-Jefferson Airplane

These are just a few. I'll be back with more.

I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named Fu Manchu
And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green he leadeth me the silent waters by
With bright knives he releaseth my soul
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places
He converteth me to lamb cutlets
For lo,m he hath great power and great hunger
When cometh the day we lowly ones
Through quiet reflection and great dedication
Master the art of karate
Lo, we shall rise up
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water."
- Pink Floyd, Sheep

"So I left there in the morning
with their God tucked underneath my arm --
their half-assed smiles and the book of rules.
So I asked this God a question
and by way of firm reply,
He said -- I'm not the kind you have to wind up on Sundays."
- Jethro Tull, Wind Up

"Squeeze me baby, till the juice runs down my leg"
- Led Zepplin, The Lemon Song

Just a little classic rock!

ha...yeah right. Reppin' midwest biatches! I'm white, not in poverty, and I live in missouri, I'm really street thuggish huh? Joking aside I like rap, well not all of it but some. It's soothing to me, tupac is my all time favorite. I love his lyrics. I don't like the guys that rap about cars, money, bitches, and capping someone's ass constantly, thats dumb, and a lot of it is fake.

It's really like hard rock or heavy metal. The guys that sing about satan and evil shit and 666 blah blah blah or divorce rock where the guys sing about how crappy they think their parents were lol. Then you have guys like ac/dc, led zeppelin, and metallica which all just flat out rock.

Good music is good music I say.
lol Rev, i see we have similar musical tastes, except for the hard rock/heavy metal part. i like rap tupac being my all-time favorite, but i do like some of eminem's stuff. not necessarily the new stuff, but songs like, lose yourself, the way i am-the songs where's hes actually rapping. and then there's AC/DC, metallica, led zeppelin, which as you said, flat out rock

"We can only learn to take, our anger and our hate
Control our mental state, settle down, and just set it straight
Maybe we can learn to take a second to pump the brakes
For we said it, regret it later, and let it escalate
Cause by then its too just late, theres so much we can take
Theres only so much someone can swallow and tolerate
To the point that he just breaks, snaps and thats all it takes
You'd think that we was learning from other rappers mistakes
But we aint"

I actually love death/black metal. But yeah, I've got nothing in common with Norwegian guys who lives in the woods and worship pagan gods (or even poor kids with more tatoos than common sense living in Florida... like Morbid Angel). But the energy behind the music is what drives me. If you can handle the lyrics (75% of my favorite bands have satanic/pagan themes+lyircs, but I'm Christian) then let the music move you!

AC/DC rocks. Led Zeppelin rocks. Metallica used to rock. It's just like someone let all the steam out of their engine after CLiff Burton died.

Yeah thats true because I listen to a lot of hard rap that discusses blowing someones face off and gang bangin, I'm such a hypocrite. In real life though hangin out with those types of guys (drug dealers, etc) is so...so scary. Thats why I think a lot of kids that fake being all thugged out and "gangsta" are so stupid...if they spend one hour with the real stuff I think they'd be cryin for their will smith cd, parents cash, and pampered lifestyle where they don't have to worry about being shot or robbed.

"Since we all came from a woman, got our name from a woman, our game from a woman. I wonder why we take from our women, why we rape our women, do we hate our women?" ` tupac

One for us old timers with regrets and too many run & cokes in us:

These days I seem to think a lot
About the things that I forgot to do
and all the times I had the chance to.

Don't confront me with my failures
I had not forgotten them.

In the dime stores and bus stations,
People talk of situations,
Read books, repeat quotations,
Draw conclusions on the wall.
Some speak of the future,
My love she speaks softly,
She knows there's no success like failure
And that failure's no success at all.

- love minus zero

Disillusioned words like bullets bark
As human gods aim for their mark
Made everything from toy guns that spark
To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark
It's easy to see without looking too far
That not much
Is really sacred.

- Its alright ma (I'm only bleeding)

Right now I can't read too good
Don't send me no more letters no
Not unless you mail them
From Desolation Row

- Desolation Row (and Dylan signing off to the folk community)

Oh a false clock tries to tick out my time
To disgrace, distract, and bother me.
And the dirt of gossip blows into my face,
And the dust of rumors covers me.
But if the arrow is straight
And the point is slick,
It can pierce through dust no matter how thick.
So I'll make my stand
And remain as I am
And bid farewell and not give a damn.

- A restless farewell

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money when you're sitting at the table
They'll be time enough for counting
When the dealing's done

Well, I saw Lon Chaney walking with the Queen
Doing the werewolves of London
I saw Lon Chaney Jr. walking with the Queen
Doing the werewolves of London
I saw a werewolf drinking a piña colada at Trader Vic's
His hair was perfect

Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London
Ah-ooooo, werewolves of London

I picked up my bag, I went looking for a place to hide
When I saw old Carmen and the devil walking side by side
I said, "Hey, Carmen, come on, let's go downtown"
